Splitting document window in Author mode

Hello Everyone,
is there any reason for disabling splitting functionality in Author mode? If there are several documents opened in Text mode, they can be splitted easily via Window|Split ... These menu items are, however, disabled in Author mode. I use drag&drop ("docking") instead, but is quite annoying.

Hello,
We will consider enabling the split actions in Author mode too. I added an enhancement request to our system.
Thank you for your request,
Sorin

Hello,
I've just found I am wrong in uderstanding what Split function do. It splits single document into two windows, hmm, I've overlooked it in Text mode. What I really want are tiles - to be able to display two files side by side (vertically or horizontally). As I've mentioned, I do it now manually using drag&drop.
Sorry for misleading.

Yes, to arrange the editors as tiles you have to
drag and drop the editor titles.

Ok, thanks for the reference.
And what about two new Tile vertically/ horizontally functions, which would automaticaly do what has to be done manually, i.e. dividing working area into individual blocks with evenly distributed widths/heights for all opened documents? Plus one function for 'untiling'.

We will consider the request for a future version. I think the editing is difficult if you want to tile more than two documents because there is not much space for each file if the editing space is evenly distributed.
