Hi

I'm trying to uninstall the oxygen plugin from eclipse 3.4 but failed. I can not find oxygen in the list of installed software. For which name do I have to search?

I'm sure that the editor is installed on the system because if I try to open a xml document, it opens always with oxygen. So, oxygen HAS to be installed somewhere.

Thanks for Your help.

Hello,

If you installed the Oxygen plugin with the Update Site method (from menu Help -> Software Updates) you uninstall it from the same dialog box: go to menu Help -> Software Updates, in the dialog box Software Updates and Add-ons go to the Installed Software tab, select the Oxygen plugin in the list of installed plugins and click on the button Uninstall.

If you installed the Oxygen plugin with the zip archive method (unzipping the archive with the Oxygen plugin in the dropins subdirectory of the Eclipse directory) then the Oxygen plugin is not listed in the dialog box Software Updates and Add-ons. In this case you have to remove the directory created by the unzip operation in the dropins subdirectory and restart Eclipse.

Regards,
Sorin

Exactly that procedure I was doing (the first you mentioned). But there is no item which sounds similar to 'oxygen'.

Is there a way of removing the plugin directly from eclipse or do I have to 'reinstall' eclipse again?
