Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction...I'm wanting to add a checkbox to my custom toolbar, but I'm unable to find a way to do this.

Also...Is it possible to load a certain layout based upon the document type association?

It is not possible to add a checkbox as extension to the Author mode. Can you give more details about the checkbox that you want to add?

Do you mean a layout of the Oxygen views and editors? No, this layout cannot be set based on the document type of the edited document. You can set your own fixed layout from Options -> Preferences -> Perspectives Layout -- Use fixed layout but it is applied for all documents.

Hey Sorin,

I was wanting to add a checkbox, so that my end users could toggle an auto-renumbering feature of a custom plugin that I developed on and off. Short of adding two buttons (one with auto-renumber, and one without) do you have any suggestions for creating such a toggle?

Hello,

No, in the current version (version 9.3) you do not have other option. You must use two buttons. We will consider allowing custom actions for toggle buttons on the Author toolbar.

Thanks Sorin. I believe that functionality would be quite handy for a number of plugin developers. A textbox for sending data to the plugin wouldn't be a bad idea either.

No, it was not added in version 10.0. The features added in version 10.0 were not centered around the Author mode.
