Archive support

I may be missing something really obvious here but... the 9.3 docs state that any .zip/OPF based format can be opened. I'm working with IDPF OPS2 files (which are heavily based on OPF at least at the metadata level). Oxygen doesn't seem to open these. How do I tell Oxygen that files with the suffix '.epub' are archives that it should be able to read?

Hello,
Oxygen supports ODF files, that is the ZIP-based Open Document Format used for example by the files saved in the OpenOffice.org application. The OPS format (Open Publication Structure for electronic books and Web publishing) is a very different file format.

I'm sorry - I assumed that the phrase in the docs "Ready to use validation, editing and processing support for Open Document Format (ODF) and other ZIP-based packages." meant that it could open ZIP-based packages!
I'm slightly confused by your comments about OPS - it's a very similar format that was explicitly derived from the ODF file structures. I don't really care about built in support for the various file formats in it - they're just xml files and I can (and do) use Oxygen to edit validate those on a daily basis.
In fact, having found the appropriate preference settings I am now happily editing epub files in oXygen. Now, if you had told me where to find that dialog you would have actually answered the right question
cheers

Dear Nic,
An easy way to map the archive extension would have been to open the file directly from the Archive Browser view available in Perspective->Show view.
We will add ".epub" as a known ZIP archive extension name by default in Oxygen.
Are there other extensions you would like to see added by default as archive extensions in Oxygen?

Radu
