Speeding Up Editing in oXygen by Hiding Images

Hi everyone,
I’m fairly new to using oXygen, and I’ve run into a bit of a challenge. I’m working on a document that contains a large number of images, and editing it in Author view has become really slow and frustrating. Every time I scroll or make changes, the program lags, which makes it difficult to focus on the text itself.
I know that switching to Text view could help with performance, but I'm much more comfortable working in Author view, where I can see the layout and structure more clearly. I was wondering if there’s a way to hide or temporarily disable the display of images in Author view so I can work faster without affecting the document itself.
Ideally, I’m hoping for a solution that doesn’t require editing CSS or making complicated changes—I just want a simple toggle or setting that improves performance while I’m editing.
Has anyone found an easy way to do this, or are there tips for speeding up Author view when a document has lots of images? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much for your help.
