Java install for oxygen 7.1

Hi,

I am running oXygen 7.1 and have freeze problems, which I believe is a Java issue. I'm using Java 1.6 and must have it for other applications. Will it screw up my system if I also install Java 1.5? If not, then please tell me what I must do to make oXygen use the Java 1.5 installation? And, how do I make sure my other applications don't abandon Java 1.6 and start using the older 1.5 version? Can you point me to specific instructions? I'm not a programmer, so I need the "directions for dummies" version!

Thanks,
Susan

Hi Susan,

If you are on Windows just get the distribution that includes a Java Virtual Machine, it will install the JVM only locally for oXygen.
Note that the latest version 7 distribution is 7.2. You can get that from our software archive page http://www.oxygenxml.com/software_archive.html

Best Regards,
George
