Weird validation error in Oxygen 24

After upgrading to Oxygen 24, two different machines (both Ubuntu 20.04) have shown this error when trying to validate a file whose schema association is configured through a Document Type Association:
Saxon-EE cannot validate with schema type text/rng
In one instance, restarting Oxygen solved the problem; in the other instance, that didn't solve it, but after doing some other work and coming back to the file later, it validated as expected.
Have any other users seen this behaviour?

We're now seeing this regularly on multiple machines, and it's getting quite frustrating. Does anyone have a solution for this? I've checked the document type association and it links correctly to the schema; there's nothing in there about SaxonEE at all, and nothing in the project file mentioning EE.

Hello,
Thanks for your feedback.
We manage to reproduce the problem on an Ubuntu machine with Oxygen 24.0. The problem seems to be when the Validate drop-down menu action from the toolbar is used. Instead of the default Validate action the Saxon EE custom validation is invoked. This action is also in the Validate drop-down menu.
I added an issue on our internal issue tracker to investigate this problem. We will update this thread when we come to a conclusion.
As an workaround, you can select the Validate action from the drop-down menu, or use the shortcut. After you select first time the Validate action, next time when you click on the Validate drop-down action, the validation will work correctly. Also, the automatically validation seems to work correctly.
Best Regards,
