1min 30s to launch Oxygen...

I've just downloaded the trial version of Oxygen as the business have requested that we purchase it. I've installed it on a test XP SP2 PC (the installer with the Java VM), but when I launch it nothing happens for 1 min 20s, then the splash screen appears, and 20s or so later the app starts.

The issue is that McAfee VirusScan is kicking in as the McShield.exe process takes 99% CPU for the first 1min 20s. This is a bit of a pain because it means we have to make an exclusion in McAfee where this is installed.

Anyone else experiencing similar?

Hello,

20 seconds for the first startup of oXygen after logging in is normal. The next startups should be faster. If McShield.exe takes 99% of the first 1min 20s when there is no progress of the oXygen progress bar then I think it is a problem of the McAffee VirusScan application. Many other McAffee users had the same problem with McShield.exe without being oXygen users. Does oXygen start up in about 20 seconds if you disable the McAffee antivirus?

Sorin

Thanks for the reply. Yeah if I disable McAfee it's fine.

Ben.
