Indent == 2 spaces, but oXygen inserts 4 spaces...

For:
  • oXygen XML editor 21.1, build 2019120214
  • OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_232-8u232-b09-0ubuntu1~16.04.1-b09)
  • Linux Mint 18.3, 32-bit
I have screenshots but can't insert them into this post.

In Preferences -> Editor -> Format -> Indent -> Indent size I have specified 2. And (re-)applied that setting, then clicked OK.

But in all structured text files, Format and Indent inserts 4 spaces.

I've opened the same structured text files in a programmer's editor. I can apply the desired indent of 2 spaces there...

Any ideas?

Hi Riley,

In the Preferences->Editor / Format page there is a "Detect indent on open" checkbox. Maybe you can uncheck that and afterwards use the format and indent again.

Radu
