middle-button paste on Linux broken in 7.2?

Hi,

Since I installed oxygen 7.2, pasting in it with the X windows automatic copy/paste feature (middle button, at least in my config) does not work anymore. It still works with all other applications. It used to work with 7.1 and earlier versions.

I haven't found any similar bug report in this forum and on the support mailing list, so it may be a local config issue. I'm using Mandrake 10.

Thanks in advance for any help,
Benoit

Hello,

Did oXygen version 7.1 run with the same version of the Java virtual machine as oXygen version 7.2 ? What is that JVM version ? If they run with the same JVM version copy/paste should work the same. You can find it in Help - About - System properties - java.vm.version. I tested copy and paste on a Suse 10 Linux with Java 1.5.0 by selecting with the left mouse button and pasting with a right click in other window and worked correctly. What is your Linux distribution and your JVM version ?

Regards,
Sorin

Buna seara, Sorin :-)

I use the same JVM for 7.1 and 7.2:
java.vm.version 1.5.0_06-b05
java.home /usr/java/jdk1.5.0_06/jre

os.version 2.6.12-12mdk
(Mandrake)

Start-up scripts are the same except for the -Xmx option (800m for 7.1, 400m for 7.2). I don't suppose that would be the reason.

Anything else I could check?

Multumesc,
Benoit

Bonjour Benoit,

Does copy / paste work for other Java applications running with the same version of the Java virtual machine ?

À bientôt,
Sorin

Yes, other java applications in the same JVM don't have this problem such as Eclipse and our applications.

What I just found out is that this pasting works fine in oXygen's file chooser dialog and in the XPath search tool in the toolbar. So it looks like it's only in an editor window that it doesn't work.

Note that the other copy-paste method (ctrl-v) works fine.
