Printing problem?

I am using Linux (Fedora Core 4) and JDK 1.5.0_06 and I am not able to print from Oxygen.
Whenm I choose Print from the File menu, I get a dialog box asking me "Select content to print", and I choose either and press OK, and nothing more happens (except the dialog box closes).

If I choose to use J2SDK 1.4.2_10, I can print... But the printing scaling option doesn't work, so I was hoping to get printing from JDK 1.5 to work...

It works ok in some other pure Java apps...

Hello,

<oXygen/> uses the print support of the Java virtual machine. We tested printing with scaling and scaling works without problems on other machines. It seems there is a problem with the printer driver installed on your computer. Do you have the latest Linux printer driver from the printer manufacturer installed on your Fedora Core 4 computer ?

Yes, I do....

What's strange is that it works from other Java apps, it not I would have understood it...

Hello again,

We just configured a Canon printer on a Fedora Core 4 using the driver Canon S800 provided by Fedora. The printer has another name, not S800 but printing with scaling in <oXygen/> 7.1 with Java 1.5 still worked without problems.

I hope that helps,
