Image Quality in PDF Output

Hi All,

I'm currently using OxygenXML Editor 17.1 and use the default DITA Map PDF output as part of my transformation formats for a User Guide.

The problem I'm having is that the default image quality of my PNGs are at a lower quality than I'd like. I've had a similar problem with MS Word Docs exporting to PDF....there is a universal options setting within Word where I can adjust the compression ratio or dpi for all images in the document and resulting export. Is there a similar setting in OxygenXML 17.1?

Thank you,

Vinny

Hi Vinny,

If some of the images appear stretched-out in the PDF, you should try to either adjust or remove the dpi (dots per inch) information from them.

We have a topic in our documentation where you can find more information about this issue:
https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/ ... utput.html

The example shows how to remove the DPI from the image using the free GIMP image application.

I hope this helps.
