Automatic serial number in table

Hi, I want to insert a huge table and the first column need to have the serial number (1,2,3...)Is there a way that this can be automated?

Hi,
Can you please give us more details about your use-case? What type of document are you editing?
If you are trying to insert this table in Author mode, you can try to first create the table in a spreadsheet editor (like Excel) and then paste it in your document.

Sorry for the delayed response.
Yes, I create table in Author mode. So we cant do this in oXygen? what if i have an existing guide and have to insert a row in the middle. I am currently editing all the serial numbers manually.
