6.2 fails to create directory ~/.profile on Linux

I notice that when 6.2 starts on my Linux box that it gripes about failing to create a directory called .profile in my home directory. It fails because there is already a file of that name present.

Does it matter that the directory isn't created? What's it for?

Hi

The error is received because the frameworks support in Oxygen tries to create a ".profile" directory at startup in the user home.
This however does not affect in any way the application's functionality.
