Oxygen XML Forum

I have an older 13.2 Oxygen version and I have tried to update the TEI framework as recommended here http://wiki.tei-c.org/index.php/OXygen but now from the editor I do not see the TEI framework at all and keep getting validation errors all the time... What have I done wrong?

Did you use these instructions from the web site link you provided?

To install this, look in your Oxygen folder for a "frameworks" directory that contains a directory called "tei". That's where the contents of the zip would go, replacing the old contents of that directory. Note that this is not the same thing as the tei-oxygen

If so, the TEI framework you downloaded might have been created to work with a newer Oxygen version. The current Oxygen version is 17.0 and there have been lots of updates to the TEI framework over the years, updates which may not be compatible with an older Oxygen version.

The Oxygen TEI framework available on the TEI website and that TEI wiki you followed are maintained by the TEI members so you might want to consider writing on the TEI users list about this.

In the worst case scenario, if you cannot upgrade you can just re-install Oxygen 13.2:

The user preferences are saved in a different folder so you will not lose them.
