Windows 8 security problems

Have a new license for Oxygen and there seem to be some issues with Windows 8. More specifically, when I try to modify Program files (adding template files, creating automatic naming macros)a notification window appears stating that I do not have the necessary privileges.

Is there a modification for the installation and setup of Oxygen that would rectify the problems?

Or, is anyone aware of how to manage Windows 8 to successfully use Oxygen?

Thank you!
Patricia

Hello,

Please note that, from security reasons, in Windows Vista and later, the Program Files / Program Files (x86) folders have strict protection settings.
Therefore, for Windows 8 you can not edit files and save the changes directly in the Program Files / Program Files (x86) folders. In case you need to modify a file under one of those operating systems, you will first have to copy the file to your Desktop (or another folder with write access), modify it there and then copy it back to the initial folder replacing the original file.

Even so, in order to copy/remove files to/from any of the Program Files directories you still need administrator rights over the machine you are working on.
Otherwise, you should ask your system administrator to perform the tasks which require administrative permission for you.
