Hi,

I found some problem in finding word in Thai document. Please look at following image. (But they are too small!)

[Before finding]

[After finding]

The highlighted searched word is not accurate and the target word has been vanished.

Following is the same result done by Japanese text editor. The result of find action is fine.

Please fix this problem. I uploaded this XML instance and above image to the following URL.

thai_example_1.zip
http://yahoo.jp/box/K-IhZS

This is Japanese Yahoo! site. You can download this zip file by clicking "ダウンロード" button located at the upper left of the screen.

My operating environment is as follows:

oXygen XML Author 15.2 (64bit)
Windows7 Home Premium 64bit

Hello,

This can happen in Text mode for some content, if you have explicitly disabled the BiDi mode or the BiDi document size limit has been exceeded (not the case in your examples).
For Thai text especially I see that disabling BiDi mode garbles the text when selecting it (the Find tool selects the found matches).

Please check in Options > Preferences, Editor > Open/Save, Open subsection, the option selected for "When bidirectional (BIDI) text is detected:". By default Oxygen is configured to "Prompt for each document" at opening time. So you can either set it to that, or configure Oxygen to always enable BiDi mode when detecting such content: "Enable bidirectional editing".

Regards,
Adrian

Thank you Adrian.

Your suggestion solved this problem.

I did not notice that I opened this XML instance disabling the BIDI mode.
