Documentation view for models

Post by csalsa » Thu Dec 09, 2010 3:43 am

Hi

I am editing XML Schemas and I want to make them self-documenting with additional information that cannot be defined in simple/complex types alone.

I plan to use annotations for the additional information and I would like to know if there is a 'view' that shows the annotation documentation? As I navigate the Schema model, the documentation view should show annotations.

The documentation view should enable/disable as I move the cursor through the schema model and select elements that can be annotated. I then add/edit the annotation in the documentation view.

I am guessing that this 'documentation' view can be used for documenting other XML based models.

Hi,

In what page are you editing the XML Schemas? Text or Design?
When editing an XML Schema in the Design page you can see the documentation for each component. You can also double click the documentation to edit it.
