Default app for opening files embedded in XML

Post by csun »

Hi,

On this page
https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/ ... types.html
it is mentioned "The files that match the Binary file patterns patterns are handled as binary and opened in the associated system application."

Is there any workaround to this? For example, for some reason my Windows 10 is having trouble remembering the default application for opening .eps files; before I can find a solution to the Windows 10 problem, if I open .eps files from Oxygen, is it doable to let Oxygen remember to use MathType as the default application?

Thanks,
Charles

Hi Charles,

For such files Oxygen just delegates the open operation to a Java API implemented in the Java VM which tries to use the default associated application. We do not have a separate settings layer to allow you to control which application to call for which file extension.
