Microsoft started this "version = year" convention with Windows 95. It seems more "commercial" only by association with major Windows software like Office 2005, etc... I'm afraid that calling oXygen "oXygen 2006" would give some people the idea that it was a Windows-only program. In the Macintosh and Linux worlds, we are perfectly happy with integer version numbers.alexey wrote:Hello oxygen team,

Oxygen 2006 is more commercial than Oxygen 7 ...
So as a user I vote to keep the status quo.
