Format XML on save in grid view

I am having trouble with formatting while using grid mode. I have set the Editor>Format>XML settings the way I like it.

However, whenever I make changes and save while viewing in grid mode it completely ignores these settings and formats it incorrectly.

Is there a way to automatically apply these formatting settings while saving? It is a huge pain to format and indent tool EVERY time I want to make a change.



Example: Expand empty elements is ignored when saving in grid mode and will actually UNDO expanded empty elements.

Hi,

There is a preferences page specific for the Grid editing mode: Editor / Edit Modes / Grid which has a checkbox to fully format and indent the document on save or on page switch.
