DOCX DITA failed, Content went missing...

Post by Sook »

Hi, I opened up a simple word document and attempted to let it run on DOCX DITA but it failed. Any idea why?

The other message reads: Build-word2dita.xml, scenario DOCX DITA, document type "OOXML". F[ANT]Transformation Failed.

It is able to transform for PEI-T5 though. While it is able to convert to PEI-T5 EPub, the write-up in the content went missing. Any idea why?

Thanks and hear from you.

Hi,

The conversion from word to DITA is done using the DITA For Publishers project.
Did the failed transformation also report certain messages?

We are not very familiar with the conversion, it is described here:

http://dita4publishers.sourceforge.net/ ... chapter-id

Usually in order for the conversion to work you need to have a special XML document which maps from MS Word styles to DITA elements.
You can also register on the DITA Users List and ask there for help, Eliot Kimber, the DITA expert who created the conversion is registered there and he will try to help you if his time allows.
