OxygenXML Editor vs <oXygen/> XML WebHelp distribution

Post by lhaviland » Thu Sep 18, 2014 9:11 pm

We successfully create webhelp (and more) from Oxygen/XML v16 today. I have a need to create the webhelp from the command line/automated as part of our continuous integration environment. I know that capability is not supported with Oxygen/XML v16 itself but IS supported from the separate <oXygen/> XML WebHelp distribution.
We should only need one license as this will be installed in our CI to build the help.

Can you confirm that I can get what I want by purchasing ONE license for <oXygen/> XML WebHelp distribution, so that we can continue creating the help content from our Oxygen/XML v16 licenses and have our CI create the actual webhelp transformation automatically, using the single <oXygen/> XML WebHelp distribution license?

The WebHelp license is a process-based license, so, as long as you would have one deployment of the WebHelp license which will only be used in a single external process, then, yes you need a single WebHelp license.

You can find more detailed clarifications in the oXygen WebHelp EULA, at:
