Re: Author mode - show progress when opening large file
I see it is fixed in 11.1, thanks. But I would improve it a bit: When Oxygen is opened again with a large document opened from the previous session, a dialog with progress appears. When the Cancel button is pressed accidentally in this stage, loading of XIncludes is interrupted so they appear as not...

Re: Author mode - css behaviour in 11.1
Thanks for the tip, adding 2 px really solves the minor issue. But what about the 'major' one, the vertical indent? I've found it everywhere when the original css value of the content:before property was set to empty by me: title/indexterm, note/para, footnote/para: footnote:before{ display:inline; ...

Author mode - css behaviour in 11.1
Hello, during testing the 11.1 version I've found the different behaviour of CSS styles in the 'no tags' view. I have a modified style for indexterms in section titles: indexterm { display: block; font-weight: bold; } While the full tags mode looks quite the same (11/11.1): http://img705.imageshack....

Here is another relative thread: http://www.oxygenxml.com/forum/topic4151.html We have the same issue on one of several PC. We have tried almost everything but still without success. File from Windows explorer have to be dragged & dropped into Oxygen environment or opened via dialog to be opened...

Re: Using of Xinclude in a large Xml Document
My response is quite off topic. Is it really necessary to have 'son' files stored in remote destination? If this is for keeping up to date file somewhere only, maybe some versioning system would be more suited for this. You can work with a local copy while up-to date versions are available in the re...

Re: Author mode - improvements in inserting of elements
Hello Radu, I know this method, but I mean something different. Imagine the situation, when you are scrolling your document and in some point you want to add an element. I tend to click to the end of the line, but I am a bit puzzled when I don't see the cursor there, but before closing element or on...

Author mode - tile behaviour
Hello, if two documents are displayed in the author mode side by side (tiled), each occupying approx. 50% of the available width, and the third document is opened, a width ratio is changed accidentally to ca 75/25 %. Also if two documents are in the same tile and one of them is picked up and moved t...

Author mode - keep folding
Hello,
when some elements are folded in the Author mode and then my document is switched into the Text mode and then back, folding is preserved only if no change is made in the Text mode. It would be nice to keep folding regardless any changes in the Text mode.
Regards,
Jan

Author mode - improvements in inserting of elements
Hello, in Oxygen 11 it is impossible to place elements into inappropriate positions. It is nice feature, but it could be improved a bit. This request is based on my natural sense when a new element is being appended to the previous one. If previous element of my DocBook document is 'para' (block ele...

Setting the cursor position just before tag
Hello, in spite of some improvents in this area it is still hard to select last position before nested element or entity, see this example: http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/7016/spaceys.png . The last position is commonly used if you need select text or continue in writing so from my point of view t...

Hello,
it would be nice to enable 'tags display mode' shortcuts (defined in Preferences|Menu Shortcut Keys) also from text mode. After using the defined combination of keys Oxygen could automatically switch to the Author mode and show tags accordingly.

Re: Spell check - casing after abbreviations
So I would enhance a bit my original post:
it would be nice if spell check knew that after "e.g.", "etc." or "i.e." it is ok to continue with lower case characters if Case Sensitive option is checked.

Thanks for your patience.
Instead of third step please click on DocBook toolbar icon 'Add paragraph'. That's it. With your method everything is fine. But Add paragraph action works differently.

Re: Author mode - quick visual XInclude check
Hello, default validator is used simply because of LIBXML shortage in some areas. But this step is not sufficient for getting all IDs...

Re: Author mode - DocBook - insert para via action
What you are describing is supposed behaviour, but in reality it is different. Please try step by step procedure described in previous post. After inserting itemizedlist element from 'elements' toolbar with no other mouse click just launch action 'insert new paragraph'.

Hello,
it would be nice to have some automatical mechanism for detection of external content and if it was inline, it would be displayed also inline. There could be also additional option for hidding title of referenced file and leave there only chain icon to be everything more compact.

Author mode - allow duplicating spaces on 'pre' content only
Hello,
it would be nice to prevent user from inserting several consecutive spaces in content with no 'preserve whitespace' set. Although these extra spaces are ignored on next opening of document so there is no problem, it is confusing a litle bit.
