Re: Customize image display for the note tag

Hi Bogdan, I wanted to use your DITA-OT because you have some very nice plugins, and I wanted to take advantage of them. You can install extra plugins in a DITA Open Toolkit installation. But the plugins need to be compatible with that installation. As you used the newest DITA OT 2.0 as the external...

Re: WebDAV question

Hi,

Possibly you could add hooks on the server side in the HTTP server configuration and intercept calls from HTTP clients like Oxygen to delete or to create new topics.
Indeed most CMSs advertise having special support for translations.

Re: Translations best practices with DITA

Hi Bogdan, We are not very familiar with how translations should be handled with a DITA project. I would also consider that you need a separate DITA Map project for each supported translation and to have some kind of mechanism to keep in sync the topics which were translated and the topics which wer...

Re: Customize image display for the note tag

Hi Bogdan, The external DITA OT installation you were using seems to be DITA Open Toolkit 2.0. Oxygen comes with a bundled version of DITA Open Toolkit 1.8 (a slightly older but yet more stable version of the DITA Open Toolkit). But I'm not sure the version mismatch would explain the problem. Also, ...

Re: WebDAV question

Hi,

Sorry but we do not have such API.
We do have API for a plugin to provide a custom view so you could for example implement your own WebDav explorer view but that would take quite a lot of implementation effort.
Could you tell me more about your use case?

Re: How is it possible to customize the colors in a table

Hi Bogdan, For some reason, the Customization part did not quite work for me, I do not know why. You probably did something wrong, not sure what, I don't have enough details. The customization folder can be used either from a location external to the DITA Open Toolkit location or it can be contribut...

Hi,

Just to update this thread, Oxygen 17 has a new and improved Insert Image which allows you to set image sizes, align and alternate text.

Re: Styling with CSS Hovertext in html output

Hi Anuradha,

You probably need to perform some XSLT customization and set the title attribute on the HTML reference with a custom value derived from the shortdescription.
Maybe you could ask about this on the DITA Users List:

Re: How is it possible to customize the colors in a table

Hi Bogdan, There is a book called DITA For Print which should have quite a lot of PDF customization scenarios: http://xmlpress.net/publications/dita/dita-for-print/ Of course, the possibilities to customize the output are infinite so a book cannot cover any possible scenario. I blogged here a possib...

Hi,

Re: How is it possible to customize the colors in a table

Hi Bogdan, This XSLT stylesheet creates the XSL-FO elements for DITA tables: OXYGEN_INSTALL_DIR/frameworks/dita/DITA-OT/plugins/org.dita.pdf2/xsl/fo/tables.xsl those XSL-FO table elements use attribute sets from this XSLT stylesheet: OXYGEN_INSTALL_DIR/frameworks/dita/DITA-OT/plugins/org.dita.pdf2/c...

As a workaround, why don't you use the XQuery function doc directly to load the XML from the HTTP server?

Re: AuthorDnDListener - multiple DropTargetDropEvent managme

Hi Johann, I think that the only official modifiers for DND are Ctrl and Shift. For example if you press Ctrl+Shift and drag you should receive on the getDropAction() a java.awt.dnd.DnDConstants.ACTION_LINK value. So the Swing drop event does not seem to be able to tell you if the ALT key is pressed...

Re: CSS Pseudo-Element "inner(n)"

Hi Patrik, Even if at some future version we add support for inner(n) it will probably not work in such complicated cases, to create entire table rows and cells. So it is quite improbable that this will ever work. Maybe you could add a :before block on the entire table and add some static content th...

Re: Mailapi.jar not working correctly

Hi Dirk,

As long as the JAR library is included in the Classpath list, it should be available for use in Author custom operations.
You say you get this error when debugging, do you get the same problem when running Oxygen with the framework deployed in it?

Hi Simon,

Javascript code cannot set content to the clipboard so getting a Copy button to modify the user's clipboard would be quite problematic, it would probably involve using Flash.
But you can also right click the link and choose "Copy link location".
