Save entire manual to PDF

Webhelp responsive has a nice way to print a topic of a manual, as seen here: https://i.imgur.com/SCrsFNo.jpg However, I am getting multiple requests for a way to download the entire manual (all contents). The only way I can think to do this is: 1. Generate the webhelp Responsive, as normal 2. Also ...

Re: Collapse and expand individual sections in topic

I really want to be able to collapse and expand individual sections, instead of all at once. So I want each section to have its own collapse/expand button. Here's a diagram: https://i.imgur.com/6GgSSNo.jpg

Collapse and expand individual sections in topic

Is there a way to collapse and expand individual sections within a topic? I know there is a way to do this for *all* sections at once, but can it be done individually? Additionally, how can I set the default behavior so that all sections begin as collapsed? I want the user to see all collections as ...

Re: Webhelp Responsive: prevent caching

Can you explain why that is the intended behavior? It seems like it should not be. I do not want any situation where my users go to a webpage that I have updated, but that shows the old version. Am I missing something here?

Webhelp Responsive: prevent caching

Using Dita with Webhelp responsive. I update my documentation frequently. Many times, I make a change and the users do not see it until after they refresh the page. Is there anything I can do about this? I noticed this article: https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/22.0/ug-editor/topics/disable-cac...

Cross reference automatically uses title

Whenever I set up a cross-reference, I type the title of the topic that I want the reference to point to. Then, I turn that text into a link. However, I'd like to be able to set up a link such that the title is automatically generated in the link in the topic that I am creating the link in. This way...

Can I set a default attribute of an element?

I want all my images to be on a newline. However, Oxygen defaults to showing images inline. So for every single image, I have to set the "Placement" attribute to be "break". Is there a way to change this default?

Multiple levels of menu in Webhelp Responsive Tree

In the Webhelp responsive tree layout, the arrows that you use to expand the menus on the main page only go 1-level deep.

Is it possible for these arrows to have a deeper level, so that I can expand multiple levels of menu while I'm still on the main page?

Microsoft Word transform: Notes, Warnings, Cautions still in English

Sometimes I need to transform a ditamap and its topics into a Microsoft Word document.

How do I change the language of the warnings, cautions, and notes? I tried setting the default language to, for example, fr-fr, but this text is still in English.

I have many different projects in many different folders. Today, I created a map that referenced files in three different folders. When I generate the webhelp output, Oxygen creates subfolders with names like "oxy_ex-2". I currently have the fix.external.refs.com.oxygenxml set to "tru...

I looked in the list of customizable shortcuts and could not find this. To be clear, I want to be able to select an element, and use a shortcut key to instantly remove all conditional profiling attributes.

Making pictures in HTML clickable to open bigger pictures

Let's say I want all the pictures in my manual to be clickable links - clicking the link opens up a larger version of the picture. I know how to do this - I save 2 versions of the picture, show the small version in the topic, and make that small picture a link whose href is the bigger picture. Easy....

Re: Webhelp Responsive publishing template that includes first topic in main page?

steinbacherGE, I've been wanting to do this for a while and came up with a workaround. 1. Create a file called "Welcome.dita". Make it the first child topic in the map. 2. Use the webhelp.fragment.welcome to point to an HTML file (this parameter puts this HTML code into the head of the ind...

ajod, I was in a similar situation. I wanted mobile users to end up on the index.html page, but I wanted desktop users to come straight to the content of the manual (and not see the tile or tree layout). To do this, I added a dummy file as the first topic in the map...mine was called "welcome&q...

What element do I use in a map to accomplish this?

When editing a topic file, I can insert an XREF to another topic file, and point to a specific ID in that topic file...so that when I generate the HTML, the link takes you directly to the anchor on the page. I want to do the exact same thing, but in the lefthand navigation menu of webhelp responsive...

Webhelp Responsive 21.1 - Word boundaries not respected on window resize

Using Oxygen 21.1, build 2019061404.

See this gif: https://i.imgur.com/cNrSOUC.gifv

Note how, as I resize the window, the word "charging" is broken up in the middle of the word. This wasn't happening in Oxygen 20, I don't think.
