Re: schematron no more schema aware in Oxygen 16.0

Dear Patrik, Please note that Schematron Quick-fixes are not yet implemented in 16.0. We implemented the core support for Quick-fixes and added Quick-fixes for XSLT. In the following releases of oXygen the Quick-fixes support will be updated to add schemas and also XML, including Schematon Quick-fix...

Re: Schematron error new to 15.2 - generate-id()

oXygen should validate the schema, just click on the "Configure validation scenario" action (you find it next to the Validate action in the toolbar) and select the "Validate XML Schema with embedded Schematron". The oXygen XSLT-based Schematron implementation is available on ${fr...

Re: Schematron error new to 15.2 - generate-id()

Hi Dan,

In addition to Adrian's reply - if you can post here or send to support@oxygenxml.com a sample that can be used to reproduce the problem we can try to help identifying the issue and suggesting how to fix that.

Thanks,
George

Re: Persistent CSS Style Menu option?

We will discuss more about the possibility to change the CSS for all the files that share the same document type. However, our API should provide enough support if you want to implement this functionality yourself. For example, imagine that you define the default CSS stylesheet for DITA to be someth...

Re: Persistent CSS Style Menu option?

Hi John,

The styling are configured globally or at project level (as most of the oXygen options).
My colleagues are working to provide you a distribution so you can test this before the 16 release.

Re: Persistent CSS Style Menu option?

Hi John, I am afraid this is not architecturally correct because the CSS files displayed in that drop down are specific for a document type and the user can have open document that match different document types. Now, when a document is opened the default CSS is used, as it is specified in the docum...

Hi Mark, Looking for linear-gradient I see that it is defined in a document with the status "candidate recommendation": http://www.w3.org/TR/css3-images/ so this is not yet a W3C recommendation. The W3C CSS validator is inconsistent in its support for this candidate recommendation. For exa...

Hi,

Yes, we use Jing for NVDL validation and Jing does not yet support ISO Schematron - you can use pre-ISO Schematron though.
There is an issue recorded to add ISO Schematron support, please vote for that at

The name tests in the XPath expression select those elements from no namespace. As your elements are in the http://www.icpsr.umich.edu/DDI namespace they are not selected. When you remove the namespace declaration on the XML element then the XPath expression selects them. To select the elements in t...

Re: Validating custom HTML5 data- attributes

The content completion issue seems to be related to how the attributes are defined in the schema for XHTML, that is in the epub-xhtml-30.rnc file. If I replace the validate action <validate schema="epub-xhtml-30.rnc" schemaType="application/relax-ng-compact-syntax" useMode="...

Re: Validating custom HTML5 data- attributes

I will look into the content completion part but for NVDL the idea was to offer as much as we can and then have that highlighted if it is invalid. The script below performs two actions when it encounters a section in your namespace: 1. it ignores that and processes nested sections with the attachXHT...

Re: Validating custom HTML5 data- attributes

It depends on how you want to validate that, if it can contain XHTML content or content from another namespace. If we have a simple case when you have content from that namespace only and you do not want to embed other content there then replace the unwrap action (which you can read like ignore) wit...

Re: Validating custom HTML5 data- attributes

Hi Vivian, Actually oXygen uses NVDL also now for validation. The NVDL script is located in "[oXygen]/frameworks/xhtml/xhtml5 (epub3)/epub-xhtml-30.nvdl" and you can modify it to ignore content in a specified namespace by replacing the content of the above NVDL script with <?xml version=&q...

Hi Karen,

I am not sure I follow what change you made - the <html> root element should not be deleted, you only need to add the HTML5 doctype declaration to your document.

Hi Karen, Please make sure you add <!DOCTYPE html> at the top of your document to allow oXygen know that is an HTML5 document.
