I can't see how to do this, but ... I use the standard Docbook XSL stylesheets (1.73.1) and Saxon 6.5.5 to generate FO This is modified/ecxtended by a 'house style' customization layer which applies to all my projects. Finally I have many separate 'project style' customization layers which apply onl...

Oxygen 8.0 freezes - Mac 10.3.9

Hi Oxygen 8.0 on Mac G4, Macos 10.3.9 I can't tie this one down to a set of circumstances, but since I looaded 8.0 Oxygen, it sometimes freezes completely, the only way out is Force Quit. This has happened about 10-12 times in all. The simplest (at least twice) is when I have nothing else running (i...

I think you have text antialiasing enabled and it does not work fast for some fonts on Mac OS. It is a problem of the Apple Java VM. Disable antialiasing in Options -> Preferences -> Editor -> Aspect or change the font in the same options panel. Regards, Sorin I have 10.3.9 on a G4 (which this was i...

Will this work with XEP as well? (If I have selected XEP in place of FOP in preferences)?

memory problems with Java (latest Mac release for 10.3.6)

JAI installation - see doc on "How to Add ..."

The Sun java site offers 12 versions of the JAI code - for Windows, Linux, Sun Sparc and Sun X86; JDK, JRE, and CLASSPATH for each case. The size of the downloads varies from 2.5 MB for Linux to 18 MB for Soalaris. Which do I need for MacOS X (10.2.8 or 10.3.5 - I'm in the process of moving to 10.3....

nearest I get to it is 3 in the Herculanum font that Apple supply - but not much use to people who don't use apple

This may well be only relevant to Mac users. (10.2.8 on G4 Server) When I do an [open] or a [save as], I get thrown right back to the root directory, and have to navigate through a complex directory structure before I can complete my [open] or [save as]. It looks like I'm getting spurious error messages when I use xref's to id's in xinclude's. Or I'm doing something wrong. Any help welcome. Val Instead of using entities, I now use xi:includes - much more flexible. These work fine with Oxygen 3.1, and can be nested to any depth - <book> includes <part>s, which include <chapter>s, which include <section>s - all in separate files. I also use <formalpara> to get a final sub-division within...
