Re: Validation errors in FO files
Hi Reinier, The problem with XSL-FO is that there is no tool which can fully and properly validate it. An XML Schema cannot specify all constraints which are in an XSL-FO output file and there is no official XML Schema for validating XSL-FO output. Besides this, some XSL-FO processors like RenderX X...

Re: docbook + svg + tiff
Hi, So you are referring to the visual editing Author mode, right? Could you send us a sample image to support@oxygenxml.com? Viewing TIFF files does not work out of the box in the Author mode, a separate Java library called JAI needs to be installed and used, we have a topic in our user guide expla...

Re: Include comments in PDF output
Hi, 1. Do remarks appear only in a PDF with draft.mode set to "yes"? I duplicated a WebHelp transform and set the draft.mode, but the remarks did not appear in the WebHelp output. Sorry, it seems that the actual parameter which controls remarks is show.comments which by default is set to &...

Re: Include comments in PDF output
Hi, You are using Docbook, right? If you use Oxygen's own way of adding comments (the "Add Comment" toolbar action), what Oxygen does to mark comments in the XML code is to add custom processing instructions which do not influence the published content of the XML in any way. If you want to...

Re: smart paste from Google Docs
Hi, I had more luck preserving the original formatting by choosing File->Download as Open Document Format then by opening the ODT file in Libre Office, select all, copy and then pasting in Oxygen. Exporting to HTML, opening in the web browser and copy pasting from there also seemed to preserve the n...

Re: Subject scheme map: Inc;lude/exclude works, flag doesn't
Hi John, As a DITA Editor, what we do with Subject Scheme maps is to collect keys from it and propose them in the Attributes view when editing certain attributes. When publishing Oxygen 14.1 just runs the DITA OT 1.6.1 ANT processing over the DITA Map. So this looks like a bug in the DITA OT, actual...

Re: smart paste from Google Docs
Hi, What version of Oxygen are you using? What Oxygen does when content is pasted in it is to see if it also comes as an HTML flavor and it it does, Oxygen has conversion stylesheets which try to convert that HTML content to the target content (DITA or Docbook or TEI). I tested pasting a small numbe...

Hi, Just to update this thread, some time ago, in Oxygen 13.0, we added these editor variables: ${afd} - archive file directory ${afdu} - archive file directory URL ${afn} - archive file name The editor variables can be used in order to apply ANT (or any other type of) scenarios directly on archives...

Re: How to build reusable Glossary?
Hi Reinier, Oxygen 14.1 uses DITA OT 1.6.1. The problem with glossarylist @href not working was reported by me a while ago and seems to be fixed in DITA OT 1.7.1: https://github.com/dita-ot/dita-ot/issues/1197 So you should follow the suggestions I made in my other post to use DITA OT 1.7.1 with Oxy...

Hi Reinier,
If you want these changes to be included in future DITA OT distributions, maybe you should add an issue at:

Re: Is there a stylesheet for abbreviated-form
Hi Reinier, The latest DITA OT distribution (1.7.1) has fixes for handling the <abbreviated-form> element in the PDF output: https://github.com/dita-ot/dita-ot/issues/1193 So you should try to download and install it separately, then edit your transformation scenarios from Oxygen to use it instead o...

Re: How to build reusable Glossary?
Hi Reinier,
What version of Oxygen are you using?
The OSA-Glossary.xml file seems to be a DITA Map so it should have the .ditamap extension.
Also the topicref to it should have the format set as format="ditamap".
Regards,
Radu

Re: start.cmd integrated with oXygen
Hi Susanne, I do have oXygen 14.1 and found the transformation. It worked straight away, so easy :D . Actually we have plans to integrate the D4P plugins directly in the DITA OT which comes with an Oxygen installation. We are just waiting for the next stable version of the D4P plugins. Hi Vincent, If you right click in the Author mode there is a Text submenu which contains a Count Words entry. Re: start.cmd integrated with oXygen
Hi Susanne, What we usually do with the bundled DITA OT is to take an independent DITA OT installation and strip from it the libraries and tools which already exist in Oxygen. So yes, if you want to run the command line you should set the ANT_HOME in the "startcmd.bat" to point to OXYGEN_I...

Re: getTextContent returning text in oxy_delete processing instructions
Hi Neil,
Sorry, forgot about that approach. Funny because I added that API myself about a year ago in version 13.
I think you should just continue iterating (instead of breaking) when you encounter a deleted highlight, maybe after it you will find some more content after it.

Radu

Hi Neil, When the Author internal model is built, all the content (even the one marked as inserted or deleted) is present in it. Hi Bulbab, Thanks for the samples. So your complaint is about how the visual Author mode in Oxygen renders the images, right? Re: Custom extensions to context menu of messages from custom validation
Hi,
Thanks for the suggestions.
I will integrate the quick fix for specifying an AdditionalInfoURL in time for Oxygen 14.2 (in a couple of months).
We'll look into adding some way for specifying contextual menu actions for the results view in a future version.
Regards,
Radu

Re: CIValue.getValue() vs CIValue.getInsertString()
Dear Steve, You are right, the API class CIValue is poorly commented and we'll try to improve this. One of the reasons for this is that CIValue was not originally intended as API and we should have combed it better before making it API. Our code (except the API) is obfuscated because we are a commer...

Hi, Should this value modification actually be on a customization layer? Or is this a case where the .XSL must directly modified? There seems to be no XSLT parameter controlling this feature (and I do not understand why, maybe you should ask around on the Docbook Users list). But you can overwrite t...
