Re: How to automatically open PDF output file using other formatter than Apache FOP?
Hi Adrian, Unfortunately, I had to make changes to the root-processing and the index, because otherwise the Antenna House output wouldn't work as expected re. the layout and for Apache, I had to revert them, because the index creation wouldn't work and cause errors. I have now checked with our "...

Re: How to automatically open PDF output file using other formatter than Apache FOP?
Hi Adrian,
Yes, switching to Apache FOP as processor solves the issue (I had to import the root.processing_fop.xsl and the index_fop.xsl files to the custom.xsl though to make it work again. ).

Re: How to automatically open PDF output file using other formatter than Apache FOP?
Hi Adrian,
I am using <oXygen/> XML Editor 20.0, build 2018032903.
I've also tried using Other Location, in version 20 and 19, but to no avail.

Re: How to automatically open PDF output file using other formatter than Apache FOP?
Hi Adrian, Thanks for pointing me towards checking the default DITA Map to PDF transformation. This opens the PDF in Acrobat. I've found that setting the outputFile.base parameter seems to cause the issue, because if I unset this parameter, the PDF is opened. The following value of this parameter cr...

How to automatically open PDF output file using other formatter than Apache FOP?
Hello, Normally, I would think that the PDFs created by the transformation open automatically as configured when using Apache FOP. Now that we're switching to Antenna House, this no longer seems to work. I just know this setting in the transformation scenario Output tab: Output file : Activated Open...

Re: DITA-OT with PDF with XEP indices
Hi Radu, I have the same "issue", tried out your suggestion, but we are currently evaluating Antenna House - and Antenna House seems to not like it. It seems that the parent entries cannot be resolved properly. The error that is returned is 'Unresolved index-key value: "frequency plot...

Re: Export DITA Map: Making it optional whether to include related topics or not
Hi Radu, Do you define those related links in relationship tables or directly in each topic? We define related links directly in each topic. When you define those related links do you set some profiling attribute on each related link so that applying a profiling DITAVAL file could be used to filter ...

Re: Export DITA Map: Making it optional whether to include related topics or not
Hi Radu, This issue that Ben wrote about is even worse than originally thought. During the export of the ditamap, the related links topics are resolved recursively, meaning that all the referenced topics are added to the exported files. This is on the one hand probably wanted behaviour to make sure ...

Exact phrase search issue
Hi, We found that in the webhelp responsive search field, the search algorithm seems to handle phrases that include slashes (/) differently. For example, if I search for -- activate/deactivate the xy option -- the result with the highest rating at the top is the correct match, but I find other topic...

Thanks for the information. That sounded so easy. Unfortunately, changing the font didn't help.

Hello, We are having issues with the console output font in XML Editor. Whe we create outputs in Japanese, and there are transformation errors, the error messages look, for example, like this: E [DITA-OT] [PDFJ001E] The PDF indexing process could not find the proper sort location for '??????', so th...

Re: Russian info from map topicmeta to PDF properties
Hello, We have almost the same issue, or the same, I don't know. Unfortunately, the work-around doesn't work for us. I even tried out the fix from Jarno in Github, but to no avail. I presume, something else needs to be done in our case. Our code works fine for standard European languages (en, de, fr...

Japanese PDF layout issues
Hi, Our Japanese translators are unhappy about the PDF layout for the Japanese language. For example, we have serious issues with improper line breaks, probably due to the fact that there are normally no empty spaces in Japanese, but I'm just guessing here. Example: the following text block breaks t...

Re: Webhelp - Add extra text to title
Hi Ionela, Thank you for adding my vote to this feature request. Even though it would be great if I could learn how to adjust the DITA OT re. the webhelp myself, I think this would be a great feature for the responsive webhelp transformation provided by oXygen. What we need is something like the fol...

Re: Webhelp - Add extra text to title
Hi, Since the introduction of responsive Webhelp I assume that there must have been a change now. I'm struggling to get vrm and prodinfo into the Webhelp, and I've tried out the way it is described in this thread, but I'm getting errors all the time. In the PDF, it works like a charm, because you fi...

Thanks, Radu,
We have locked the X'PR file in SVN for now to avoid unwanted changes. This still enables our authors to make changes to the file.

Setting the root map for keyrefs = project option?
Hi, I've selected a root map to be able to reference all keys, but I would like to know why this changes the main .xpr file. We are using one .xpr for several individual products. If I save this, this setting is changed for all other users, even though they might be working on other products, and on...

Re: Related Links to Sections?
Hi Radu, Thanks for clearing this up. However, after trying several things I ran into the following, and I don't know if that's a bug or just not possible: We're using a lot of shared topics in our documentation. This means that we're also using the copy-to attribute whenever it is necessary to use ...

Related Links to Sections?
Hi,
Just wanted to know if it is possible at all to create related links to sections. So far, I've read that you only create related links to topics, and nothing else.
Thanks,
Christina

Re: Using different font for special characters
Hi Radu, Thanks for your advice, and I will look into Antenna House and XEP once I get the chance. Nevertheless, I have checked out Noto Sans by Google as the default font, without defining another physical-font char-set, and that seems to do the trick for now. I haven't tested all characters yet, b...

Re: Navigation links and icons (navprev, navnext) are not inserted on Webhelp pages
Hi Alin, Thanks for your reply. I hear about the collection-type attribute for the first time and don't understand why we have to set it now if we didn't need to set it in oXygen 18.1 and used to get a proper result. We use the default setting for webhelp.show.navigation.links, i. e. it is automatic...
