Problem solved, distribution kit updated.
The problem was a call to new Font() that was executed when rendering the line numbers and on Java 1.4.1 on Mac OS X this takes a lot more time than on any other Java implementation.

We detected that the problem appears only when line numbers are displayed. Opening the Oprions/Preferences dialog and clearing the Editor/Show line numbers entry to disable line numbers will make the problem disapear. We will analyse this to find the actual cause of the problem as this does not happ...

How to speed up oXygen if it runs too slow on MacOSX

Some users reported that oXygen runs very slowly on MacOSX. We also experience a slow down running it with Java 1.4.1 compared with Java 1.3.1 although some other users find it running faster with Java 1.4.1. For the first group of users forcing the editor to use the 1.3.1 Java version makes it run ...

Dear Idris,

We will release very soon an oXygen 2.0 eclipse plugin.
The old eclipse plugin needs a valid 1.2 license as explained in my previous post as the one from the com.oxygenxml.editor.zip has expired.

Hi Pam, Thanks for posting the schema content, this clarifies the problem. It seems you loaded the personal.xsd as a project and it got saved after this, thus altering the file. There is no support currently to generate schema from an instance document or from a DTD. We plan to add support for these in future versions.
