Re: Displaying images with CSS in Author mode

Hi, Just wanted to let you know that we implemented a CSS extension function which will give you the possibility to see images referred with ENTITY type attributes in the Author page. The extension will be available in Oxygen 9.3 and the CSS selector will have to look something like: graphic { displ...

Re: Displaying images with CSS in Author mode

Dear Slava,

I answered you yesterday by email but I did not realize that the 'entity' attribute was of type ENTITY.
We do not support this yet but I added an improvement request to our internal features list and we will look into it.

Re: No formatting in PDF output from DITA

Hi, Thank you for contacting us. The Oxygen 9.1 version does not offer a complete support for transforming DITA Maps. We improved DITA support in Oxygen 9.2 and along with a special DITA Maps viewer you will also have DITA-OT Ant transformations. For PDF you can transform with the IDIOM FO Plugin an...

Re: <keyref> not finding all bad data elements at once

Hi Mike, Unfortunately there is no way to make a custom validator(such as LIBXML) the default validator. We will consider adding this feature to a future version of Oxygen. As a workaround you can use the custom validator toolbar and choose LIBXML. See this link http://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/ug-oxyge...

Re: v9.1 won't launch with 64-bit Java 6 or 5 on OS X

Dear David,

We did not realize that you were talking about the Oxygen standalone application.
It is a pure Java application that has nothing to do with the Eclipse platform in any way.

Thank you for the Info.plist hint.

Re: v9.1 won't launch with 64-bit Java 6 or 5 on OS X

Hello, The Oxygen Eclipse plugin is pure Java and does not contain any native code in it. Are you running the 64-bit Eclipse version with the 64-bit JVMs? Eclipse uses native code and if the JVMs are 64 bit so should the Eclipse installation kit. Can you try to remove the Oxygen plugin and restart E...

Re: Fop whitespace issue

Dear Jim, I opened the FO file in Oxygen and tried to validate it. The "simple-page-master" element should not have the "white-space-collapse" and "white-space" attributes specified on it according to the FO XSD schema. I enabled the output of the Apache FOP in Oxygen and then tried transforming the...

Re: Editing xml from RNG schema with fixed attrib of type QName

Dear Paul,

We fixed QName insertion for RelaxNG to insert the value correctly by taking into account the available prefix in the current context for the QName namespace.
The fix will be available in 9.2 (probably in a couple of weeks).

Re: vCards in XML

Hi Zearin,

How would you see the support in Oxygen for these specs?
We do not support XML validation against RDF and there is probably no engine which does that.
If you have an XSD schema for each XML you would get content completion and validation in Oxygen without any further steps.

Re: Formatting topicref in relationship table

Hi,

Indeed, as you said, the only way to accomplish this seems to be modifying/customizing the DITA to HTML stylesheets and output an italic element depending on a certain attribute (like "importance") that you set on the topicref in the reltable.

Re: Regex replacement crash

Hello, Thank you for reporting this issue. The problem with the expression 'x*$' is that it can also match empty strings located at the end of line because of the x*(0-n occurrences of x). When using 'Replace all' there will always be a match of length 0 at the end of any line so the replace will ge...

Re: Validating WSDL file with 'element references' in schema

Hi, Indeed in Oxygen 9.1 we've modified a bit the way we normalize whitespace-only text nodes. If that whitespace-only text node has an inline sibling (the css 'display' property set to 'inline'), we consider that it is relevant and we'll keep it as a single space. So sometimes you will have an extr...
