Re: Custom CSS selector to distinguish Tag display mode

Hi, We do not have this functionality for now. But we do have plans to add in a future version some specific CSS pseudo classes to allow matching various CSS selectors depending on the tags mode. So we'll update this forum thread when a fix is available. In the meantime, using our Java-based Author ...

Re: transformation time too long

Hi, Is the DITA content located on your local disk or on a remote server? It's hard to say what the problem is. Possible problems: - The transformation may not have very much memory to work with. It finishes but it spends lots of time trying to find available memory. In this case, increasing the amo...

Re: Named destination to an object in the PDF output

Hi, If you set an @id attribute with a certain value on almost any XSL-FO element (fo:inline, fo:block, fo:wrapper), in the generated PDF you will have a named destination with that corresponding ID value. The way in which that @id attribute is set on the XSL-FO elements depends on how your XSLT cus...

Re: Elements are only converted in FO/PDF output, not HTML

Hi, Elements like "<definitionlist>" are not part of the DITA specification so probably the PDF output works fine because you created some kind of PDF customization plugin for it. So you will probably need to create a DITA OT plugin for the HTML5 output in order to add your custom XSLT sty...

Re: Failed to run pipeline: [DOTA069F][FATAL] error

Hi, Is your DITA Map using a DITA DTD specialization? If so, please install the specialization plugin in the C:\Program Files\Oxygen XML Editor 20\frameworks\dita\dita-ot-2.5\ folder: https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/20.1/ug-editor/topics/dita-integrate-specialization.html Regards, Radu

Re: XSLT Transformation Scenario - Configure Parameters - "Evaluate XPath' - namespace problem

Hi Alex, From what I've looked at how we implement the "Evaluate as XPath" checkbox Oxygen tries to evaluate the XPath before the transformation but does not seem to evaluate it in the context of the XML document so it can only evaluate static XPaths (like for example '1+1') which do not d...

Re: hoping for help with xsl search loop

Hi, As you are using xsl:messages, they do not return anything in the produced output file, when running the transformation Oxygen presents xsl:messages in a separate tab located at the bottom of the bottom area. You will have to add extra xsl:messages and try to figure this out for yourself. Regard...

Re: XSL-FO/apache FOP - path to images

Hi Markus,

How does the generated XSL-FO file look like?
In the end the XSL-FO should refer to the image something like this:

Code: Select all

<fo:external-graphic src="url(file:/e:/path/to/images/image.png)"></fo:external-graphic>

Re: Named destination to an object in the PDF output

Hi Sylvain, Any "id" attribute which you set on an XSL-FO element should be interpreted as a named destination in the PDF. So you just need something like this: <xsl:attribute name="id"> <xsl:value-of select="replace(@outputclass,'ds-','')"/> </xsl:attribute> Regards, R...

Re: xml parsing with “&”, “®”, but still getting errors

Hi, If you have an HTML document containing HTML-specific entity references probably a web browser knows how to expand and display those. But a plain XML processor will know how to expand only 4 named entities: <, > &amp, " and ' And of course any XML processor al...

Re: Named destination to an object in the PDF output

Hi Sylvain, You probably need an XSLT customization to generate an "<fo:wrapper id='GUID-BAB3D609-C43B-437B-B229-D7F4733EFDF4'/>" in the XSL-FO file. Maybe you can search (Oxygen has a Find/Replace in Files utility) for the XSLT stylesheet from the PDF plugin which matches "topic/sect...

Re: Table cell text spilling over to adjacent cell

Hi, This is expected if on that specific table you have set a certain width on the column and the text inside the column cannot be split on multiple rows (it has no spaces in the text content). Besides the classic DITA to PDF output in the last couple of years we added a type of DITA to PDF transfor...

Re: Awkward XPath reference

Hi,

Probably you can replace that xsl:value-of with:

Code: Select all

<xsl:variable name="matchAttrName" select="substring-after(@match, '@')"/>
            <xsl:value-of select="parent::date/@*[local-name()= $matchAttrName]" />

Hi,

I'm afraid I do not have a workaround for this right now. We'll look into the problem. From what I tested the spell checker behaves well when using the English "e.g." short form but indeed not when the German equivalent is used.

Re: Load XML file oracle Table

Hi Kristen,

Maybe you can create an XSLT stylesheet in Oxygen and apply it over the XML document to obtain SQL content, content which you can later execute to populate the database table. Maybe you can google for "generate sql using xslt".

Re: Is there an online test XML database that works with OxygenXML?

Hi Gerben

We do not have such public server installations on our side and I do not know of any third-party exposed XML database servers.
On the other hand installing a local Exist or BaseX server should not be that hard.
