xinclude 1.1 and Calabash within Oxygen

Hi there, I've written an xproc pipeline that uses features of xinclude 1.1 to fix duplicate xml:ids as described here: https://norman.walsh.name/2011/10/03/transclusion https://www.w3.org/TR/xinclude-11/#attribute-copying When I run the pipeline from the command line (using xmlcalabash 1.1.16-97), ...

Re: Not sure which version of Oxygen I've installed

Ok, I must have run the wrong installer the first time. Now I have 14.2.

Quick follow up: I notice that Master Files still doesn't support validating XML files (e.g. a DocBook doc broken into chapters). Is that planned for an upcoming release?

Thanks,

Not sure which version of Oxygen I've installed

Hi there, I've installed the latest version of Oxygen from the website (on Ubuntu Linux) with the hope of getting the latest 14.2 build. I even had the installer remove the previous version. I let the installer put it in the default location "/opt/Oxygen XML Editor 14.2", however, when I check the A...

Running Maven in the first ancestor dir that contains a pom.xml file

Hi there, Our projects are use Maven and are set up such that the xml files are at various depths in a directory tree and there is a pom.xml file in a containing folder. So you might have: project-name/pom.xml project-name/src/docbkx/somefile.xml project-name/src/docbkx/chapters/somechapter.xml I'd ...

I like the sound of that. The Mac open/save dialog is kind of clumsy (in fact the whole Finder is kind of clumsy).

Thanks for the explanation.

Bug: Pasting into the location field in open dialog on Mac OS X

Hi there, I have a bug to report: 1. Select some text like /Users/whatever and put it in the clipboard with CMD-C. 2. In Oxygen, invoke the Open File dialog (CMD+O). 3. Press / to bring up the "Go to the folder" sub-dialog. 4. Use CMD+V to attempt to paste the previously copied text into the "Go to ...

Re: Removing DITA

Thanks for that list Radu. So if I remove a jar like the svnkit jar, I guess I should expect the user would see exceptions if they try to use the svn client. I guess the ideal would be to have some configurability around hiding certain features like the svn client, dita maps manager, etc in the UI. ...

Removing DITA

Hi there,
I'd like to lighten the the size of our JWS version of Oxygen by removing unused frameworks. For DITA, is there anything to remove besides the framework? Ideally, removing it would remove things that are no longer functional like usused views etc.

Thanks,

Removing CALS (or HTML) from the insert table dialog

Hi there, We've decided to go with HTML tables in DocBook. The insert table dialog offers a radio button with CALS as the default choice. Oxygen unable to render tables when rows are provided by ent

I saw user doing this the following and noticed that Oxygen can't render the table in this case. I'm in the process of removing the need for our users to do these tables manually so the need for this hack should go away, but I thought I'd mention it in case you want to consider it a bug or something...

However, when you right-click on an underlined word in xincluded content it gives no indication that correcting it is impos...

Oops. For #2, my example was bad. I meant to put those PIs inside the th (or in a td), so you don't have to worry about PIs in a tr.

Re: Author complains if processing instructions are displayed an

Indeed, I had not yet merged in the changed from the new framework. To do a better test, I've disabled my framework and am using the stock DocBook framework. The About box says "<oXygen/> XML Author 12.2, build 2011032312" (Running on Ubuntu 11.04). With CALS tables, everything is fine. However, wit...

Re: Newly added frameworks appear at bottom of list, should appe

I'll give #1 a shot, though the tricky thing about #1 (which I'm already using for other settings) is that it's difficult to update existing projects. In the future, I'm thinking I'll have an xslt in the framework and button that they can push that runs that xslt over the current project to modify s...

Ok, glad it's on the roadmap.

A similar feature would be an easy way to move list item like things (in DocBook listitems, steps, varlistentrys, members, etc) up and down.

Move rows and columns in a table with buttons

Hi there, One feature that seems to be missing from Oxygen's cals and html table support are buttons to move rows up and down and columns left and right. I know spans would be a problem, but I assume the script would just refuse to move the row if it hits a span. Is there already a convenience featu...

Yes, it works ok, but requires a little creativity and is not as easy to explain to new writers as I would like. I think there's still a feature request/unsatisfied user story lurking in here. The current Outline View is of limited value for a number of reasons: you can't limit what is displayed to ...
