I have checked the installation of the Trang plugin on Linux. It works properly. I think there is a problem with the permissions of the unzipped Trang directory. Please run a ls -l in the plugins directory. On my sistem it displays: [dan@devel plugins]$ ls -l total 8 drwxr-xr-x 3 dan users 4096 Jun ...

Other workaround is to modify the oxygen.sh script like this: ------------------- #!/bin/sh ROOT=/home/dan/Oxygen2.0.1 java -Xmx256m -Dcom.oxygenxml.classpath.relativeToOxygen.jar=true -cp $ROOT:$ROOT/lib/oxygen.jar ro.sync.exml.Oxygen $1 $2 $3 ------------------- The ROOT must be set to the install...

Indeed, the script fails to open the file because there is a problem with the working directory. For example, if I make an alias "oxy" to the "oxygen" script, the editor starts, but searches for the file argument relative to the installation directory. The workaround is to specify the argument with ...

Indeed, there is a bug in the current version of Oxygen (2.0.1) that prevents the use of namespaces in XSL templates. We have made an update that fixes this problem. There is an "All platforms" distribution at this location: http://www.oxygenxml.com/update/oxygenAllPlatforms2.0.2b1.zip You have to u...

Hello, Yes, there is a workaround for this: use fixed font for editing, like "Monaco", or "Courier". Also it works if you are using "Optima" font size 12, or "Helvetica" font size 14, 16, .. It is a problem with the font measuring API which changed in Java 1.4 on Mac OS X. We reported this to Apple....

font problems on OS X
Hi, Thanks for the new version of Oxygen. In both 2.0 and 2.0.1 Font characters overlap each other, particularly but not only when I select text. I've tried Helvetica and Serif fonts of various sizes. The WIDTH of the overlap is never more than one character I've been using oxygen 1.x because of thi...

I analysed the logs and there is no exception listed. Was like the Java VM just stops responding. I have tested again the editor on Linux, Java 1.3, and I obtained the same situation as you. Instead of killing the application with CTRL-C, I have minimise it, then maximise it. The preferences dialog ...

Can you tell me what Linux are you using and what JavaVM ? I reproduced the above steps and it worked smoothly. I use Mandrake 8 + java 1.4.0-b92 I have attached a "log4j.properties" file. This file will initialize the logging system, making the editor to produce a log file "oxygen.log". Please send...

I have changed the Mac OS X distribution, to contain a more robust Font scanning. Please download the kit again from: http://www.oxygenxml.com/InstData/MacOSX/oxygen.zip

Hello, There are several problems on the new Java 1.4.1 for Mac OS X platform when querying the installed fonts. (We did not detect a pattern for reproducing the problem). There is a solution for making the editor avoid calling the buggy API and we will include it in the next release. As an imediate...

We tried to run XEP as a post processor, but it has the drawback of generating the output pdf in the same directory as the input FO, with the same name and appending the ".pdf" extension. The command line in the external FO processor shold point to the batch file that starts XEP. For example, if the...

Oxygen failing under Apple Java 1.4.1
There are some problems running the Oxygen version 1.2.4 on the Apple's Java 1.4.1. We are trying to fix all problems in the next version. One of our users, Joe McMahon has made a patch for forcing the Oxygen application use the Java 1.3.1 instead of 1.4.1 Here it is: Joe McMahon wrote: Here's a pat...

Hello Kevin, There are two possible problems: 1. The kit is corrupted. 2. You do not have installed the correct JRE. I think you have downloaded the installation kit without the JRE included. Check that you have the latest JRE on your machine. For this, type in a terminal: java -version Should repor...

When starting Oxygen from the command line, the "oxygen.sh" script assumes the working directory is the same as the installation directory. In order to run the script from any other directory, let say your home dir, you should modify the script like this: --------oxygen.sh----------- cd /opt/Oxygen1...
