Ouline view elides <gap/> element

Can anyone explain why the <gap/> element in the following example is shown in the Outline view when in Text mode but not in Author mode? <?oxygen RNGSchema="http://www.tei-c.org/release/xml/tei/custom/schema/relaxng/tei_all.rng" type="xml"?> <TEI xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org...

Tag deletion

When deleting a simple start tag such as <title> in Text view after highlighting it entirely, the corresponding end tag is deleted. However, if <title> has any attributes, the corresponding end tag is not deleted even if the entire start tag is highlighted before deletion. It would be nice if oXygen...

Re: CSS properties: text-transform and font-variant

A comparison might be made with the "content" CSS property, which is already supported.

Re: CSS properties: text-transform and font-variant

In that case, perhaps restrict this feature to "small-caps" so there's less possibility of confusion.

CSS properties: text-transform and font-variant

At present there's no way to get certain elements to appear in upper case or small caps using CSS, which would be very handy to complement text underlining, so I'd like to ask if this could be put into the request queue. Either "text-transform: capitalize" or "font-variant: small-caps...

Re: XPath Highlighting

I've realised that this is, as far as I know, specific to the Jing parser. If one creates a TEI Bare file from the template, then adds a <note/> element with an invalid attribute: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <?oxygen RNGSchema="http://www.tei-c.org/release/xml/tei...

By the way, if it's also possible to get the same functionality when clicking on error messages, that would be similarly useful.

XPath Highlighting

When performing an XPath query in the toolbar (e.g., "//p"), it would be nice if, when clicking on the result in the results window, only the relevant element were highlighted instead of the entire line. e.g., if you have the following all on the same line: <div><h1>Title</h1><p>text1</p><...

Re: Embedded Schematron rules in RNC files

Thanks for pointing out that Schematron is not supported when embedded in Relax NG compact (and it is perfectly easy to convert to XML syntax, so this is no problem for me at all). However, I think it would be a good idea to make this clear within oXygen and in the User Manual. At the moment, both t...

Re: Embedded Schematron rules in RNC files

P.S. There is a second issue which is worth addressing separately. Using the above example file for reference, if (instead of using <?oxygen SCHSchema="..." ?> ) we click on "External Validation..." and validate it as a RelaxNG Schema in compact syntax mode (remembering to select...

Embedded Schematron rules in RNC files

oXygen seems to be having trouble with embedded Schematron rules in .rnc files, but works fine with corresponding .rng files. The error it produces is: E [Schematron 1.5] org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: Content is not allowed in prolog. As an example, try validating with embedded rules using the foll...

Re: Open from file creates second instance

Actually, I think these may be two separate issues. Using Sysinternals Tcpview, I can see that when I open oXygen from an .xpr file it doesn't bind to any port, but if I run it from the .exe file it binds to port 30008. When I run it from an .xpr file and open a file, causing a second instance to ru...

Re: Open from file creates second instance

Does that still happen if you run oXygen directly from the oxygen.exe file? It only happens to me when I run it from an .xpr file (which I have as a shortcut on my Desktop).

Re: Open from file creates second instance

I've done a little digging and discovered that when I start oXygen by invoking oxygen.exe then it works as you describe, but when I start oXygen from a project file (.xpr) -- which I do normally -- then any double-clicked files get opened in a second instance. Is this intentional? BTW, I'm using v11.

Open from file creates second instance

I've noticed that if I have an instance of oXygen already running, and then double-click on an XML file somewhere on my hard drive, a new instance of oXygen is instantiated to open that file, rather than it being opened in the current instance. This can be a little awkward at times, and I for one wo...

Parsing last opened files

In OxygenXML 11, I use .xpr files to load up different projects easily from Windows Explorer. One of my projects contains a number of big files that take a long time to parse before OxygenXML fires up, which slows the loading down a bit. However, when I close down OxygenXML after working on that pro...

Re: Some attribute names not displayed in full

I reset the global options and still found the problem occuring, but I realised this was because I am using JRE 1.7.0. It happens even with default settings in JRE 1.7.0, so I would imagine it's something to do with the way fonts are now handled in 1.7.0 (the reason I use it is because it includes b...

I assume you're aware of this, but I notice that the first problem (XPath box population on application start) has been fixed in the current installer, but the second one has not, viz.: when one re-opens the Find/Replace box and a previous XPath expression appears in the XPath box, it nevertheless d...

Re: CSS font-family property / Java fonts

Hi, You are right, it is a regression in version 10.3. We identified the cause and we will let you know when you can download a new build that fixes the problem. Thanks, much appreciated. There is a procedure for specifying a font for the PDF output of a TEI transformation . You should make sure tha...
