Re: Custom Output File Name in XSLT Transformation Scenarios

Whoops! Sorry; I misread the user join time as the message posting time. It's not been 5 years; only 1 or so, so the answer, I'm sure is "no."

Re: Custom Output File Name in XSLT Transformation Scenarios

Just wondering if anything has changed in this respect in the last 5 years? I would _really_ like to be able to have output file names from an XSL transformation that vary according to content. There are reasons why I can't really use xsl:result-document, so if the output naming functionality in XSL...

Yep, they're all in sub-collections of the collections holding the DITA map and it works! Yay! Thanks for your help. :D

Re: Cannot find temporary file

Does that mean they need to all be in the same directory/collection? I can certainly put the DITA map into a collection in eXist, but the "topics" will be spread across a number of sub-collections. is that going to be a problem?

Cannot find temporary file

I'm trying to build a PDF from DITA sources. The DITA Bookmap is on my local file system, but the topics are stored in an eXist database. I'm using eXist's ReST interface to access the data, but am being a little bit tricky ( 8) ) in that the source data in eXist is not actually DITA, but I have an ...

Re: Transform - system cannot find path specified

Did anyone ever figure out what the problem here is? I'm getting the same error. I'm using v12.2 (although I replaced the DocBook XSL files with version 1.76.1). I tried it using the oxygen sample DocBook file (Oxygen/samples/docbook/v5/sample.xml) and it made no difference.

Re: Timeout accessing documents in eXist

Also, incidentally, the timeout is on establishing a connection to the eXist database, not on retrieving the data. This may be the same thing - I'm no expert in HTTP - but it may not, so I thought it worth pointing out.

Re: Timeout accessing documents in eXist

We're using eXist v1.2 currently, although we plan to migrate to v1.4 in a couple of months. I was hoping there was another option somewhere because I have already changed Options -> Preferences -> HTTP(S)/(S)FTP/Proxy Configuration -> Advanced HTTP Settings, Read timeout (seconds) to 60, but it has...

Timeout accessing documents in eXist

Since upgrading to version 12 (and now 12.1) I am constantly getting timeout errors when retrieving, saving, refreshing, validating, including, etc., etc., etc., XML resources from our eXist database. :( Has something changed? Is there a parameter/option I can set to increase the timeout time? Stephen

Re: Saxon SQL Extension

I'd looked for separate SQL extension JAR files in both the HE and PE downloads and, not finding any, assumed it was all bundled together now. As far as getting this to work, the mechanism has changed between Saxon 9.1 and 9.2: To use the SQL extension elements in a stylesheet, you need to de...

Saxon SQL Extension

I have some data in a MySQL database that I'd like to query from within an XSL stylesheet. In theory, I should be able to use the Saxon SQL extension, but I can't get it to work. I have a database connection established in <oXygen/> to the database and that works just fine. I'm currently using v10.3...

Re: xquery collection() on eXist collection

Finally I figured this out. :D :D I basically need to use eXist as the XQuery engine and not Saxon and - for anyone else whoever gets frustrated by this - you do this by selecting your eXist database connection in the "Transformer" field/option of your transformation scenario. To those who...

Re: xquery collection() on eXist collection

Which also explains why the trivial XQuery fails. Anyway, using the collection() function still does not work (because it insists that it must be a catalogue!). :( And I tried creating a catalogue with a single <doc> element that points to a directory in the eXist database, and - no surprise ...

Re: xquery collection() on eXist collection

A further clarification: After some additional research, it appears that the "Execute XQuery on eXist" is my own transformation and that's where the "/db/nehta/ndsm/dev/data" is coming from. I had put this URL - "oxygen:/eXist$my-exist/db/nehta/ndsm/dev/data/*" - in the...
