Re: Cannot read field "result" because "fi" is null, Once more

Thanks Marius. Do you mean the apostrophe character , ' ? And do you mean in the file name? About the other case, " references to an image ending in "/ "". I don't have any instance of that. But I discovered that an image with the "#" character in the file name gives th...

Re: Cannot read field "result" because "fi" is null, Once more

image.png Hello again Costin, I managed now to pinpoint this problem, it happens when a dita file uses content reuse, with Content source = location. Failure output in the log: image.png We have Oxygen v.24.1, use transformation scenario DITA Map Webhelp Responsive, parameters fix.external.refs.com...

Re: Available fonts

Hello Radu,
It's the publishing side I'm interested in. We publish to html and pdf both, but let's start with pdf. We use DITA xml, CSS based.

Re: Stepresult not shown if pdf

Thanks Julien, that works fine.
I also added a padding in that part -

Code: Select all

padding-left: 10px;
.
That works on the label, but not on the rest of the text in the step result. Is there a way to get the same indent on the complete step result text?

Stepresult not shown if pdf

Hello, We run a Dita Map PDF - based on HTML5 & CSS transformation scenario, with parameter args.gen.task.lbl = YES . For the topic type Task we still don't see the text Result: for the tag stepresult in the pdf. Other labels like Before you begin , About this task , are shown. Is there another ...

Re: Cannot read field "result" because "fi" is null, Once more

Hi Costin,
resuming this case after some time..
We have quite hard restrictions on sending files outside the site here. Is there any way we can troubleshoot this with help of the printouts that Oxygen and DITA-OT give? Or any other suggestion you have that i might try?
thanks,
Mikael

Re: Delta character does not work

Thanks for good tip Julien. I think that we now enough options to make this work. The option to use DejaVu for all text may be the best solution, since that also solves the problem with unordered lists with several levels. In those lists level 2 and lower is rendered as # (and not bullets) with Time...

Re: Delta character does not work

Hello Andrei, we have quite heavy restrictions on what we can send, so before I do that I just want to ask you some more questions. So if I put Deja vu Sans as fallback font, and there is a delta character in the publication, the complete publication will have Deja vu Sans as font. And I would get t...

Re: Pdf file in dita map

Thanks Julien, then I understand how it works.
Option " adding the PDF inside the generated output at a given location" would be the best one for us.

Re: Cannot read field "result" because "fi" is null, Once more

I upgraded to Oxygen v 24.1 and I can see that DITA OT v. 3.7.0 is used, but I still get the same result: transformation fails with error Cannot read field "result" because "fi" is null. . I will try to provide samples for troubleshooting as you instructed. In the meantime, anoth...

Re: Delta character does not work

I tried your fallback font suggestion, and it works partly. With this line in the css file: body{ ... font-family: "Times New Roman", "DejaVu sans" !important; .. } the delta character is printed ok. But the rest of the document also gets the Dejavu font which is not really what ...

Cannot read field "result" because "fi" is null, Once more

Running transformation scenario DITA Map Webhelp Responsive gives Nullpointerexception Cannot read field "result" because "fi" is null . Oxygen version 24.0, DITA OT version 3.6.1. I saw some old posts on this subject, and based on those I checked that we don't have any file name...

Re: Customize footer

Ok got it. I opened the xhtml file in Oxygen and fixed the errors it showed. I also moved it to the same folder as the css descriptor files and the templates. But still the footer only shows the text that is in the parameter value in the template file - the file name footer.xhtml in this case. Unfor...

Thanks Marius.
Ok so extra plugin needed for this?
To see if I'm on the right track, could you say if the attached example qualifies as a well-formed xhtml file?

I tried to add the path to an xhtml file with footer content in the parameter webhelp.fragment.footer in the transformation scenario, bit no success. I also tried adding it in a ccs file but no luck, the actual path text i shown in the footer. Then I read here in the forum that I need a certain plug...
