Re: Dynamic Help

This is very helpful. We're actually doing the latter that you describe. Thank you!

Re: Dynamic Help

Thanks Radu. What is the specific name of the transformation for JavaHelp? I can't find anything in the list that is immediately obvious. I'm using v22.1.

Thanks again!

Dynamic Help

I would be really curious to know how the OxygenXML team creates Dynamic Help. Is there a transform scenario that can create this?

Thanks much!

Re: DITA Map HTML5: Failed to run pipline

I'm not sure why our security checks produce this error in your project's case though. Are you using DITA specialization DTDs? Are your DTDs outside of the DITA OT folder? This might be the case. I had been using a customized DTD for older content, and whatever OxygenXML supplies for new. Is there ...

DITA Map HTML5: Failed to run pipline

When attempting to output to DITA Map HTML5, I'm receiving this error message: "...ditabase.dtd cannot not be resolved through catalogs. For security reasons files that are not listed in the DITA-OT catalogs and are not located in the DITA-OT directory are not read." I've actually received...

Re: MathFlow

So by the way, if it's not evident, I am presently ecstatic because equations are indeed rendering in Webhelp.

What about for chm files? Which parameter do I change?

Thanks much!

Re: MathFlow

I've figured out what I was doing wrong. I was Saving As, and then I was creating a name for the mml file and then saving it in a different directory. For this to work, you must simply click Save. Do not alter the name, to not alter the directory. Then everything does indeed work. Perhaps it could b...

Re: MathFlow

When you insert a new equation from Oxygen, it opens LibreOffice Math with a temporary MathML file for you to work on. You don't need to worry about where this file is; simply create your equation, save, and close LibreOffice Math, and Oxygen will move the contents of that file into the new equatio...

Re: MathFlow

Actually, the more I look at it, I think I have been inserting equations correctly. So although I've created an xml file with the script you've provided, and have set the webhelp.fragment.head parameter to point to that script, I'm still having no luck. :(

Re: MathFlow

It's still not working, but I think this is related to how I've entered the equation. If I select DITA/Insert/Insert Equation , yes, LibreOffice Math appears. Here I am able to create an equation; however, how to insert this into the dita is still not clear to me. What I've done as a work-around is ...

Re: MathFlow

Yes, I've seen this but unfortunately I'm not completely understanding the instructions. Please forgive my ignorance. I was able to find webhelp.fragment.head on the Paremeters tab, but how to point it to a resource file is unclear to me. What is a "resource file?" Or even an "XML res...

Re: MathFlow

I'll send you an email but I want to let you know that I think I fixed it. I located the .exe file in its specific directory in Windows Explorer, and then right-clicked to copy the address, and then pasted that into the field before the .exe file. I'm not sure exactly what is different, but now when...

Re: MathFlow

Unfortunately, I'm not having much luck with LibreOffice. I am able to run smath.exe from my computer's command line. But in Oxygen, I copied and pasted this into the Command line field on the Preferences dialog box (Editor/Edit Modes/Author/MathML): "C:\Program Files\LibreOffice 5\program\smat...

MathFlow

I need to be able to create equations. In previous versions of Oxygen, I used an add-on called MathFlow, but I'm having problems finding this product for Oxygen 22.0. I am on a new machine now, and I no longer have access to products I was using before. So I've contacted Design Science a few times n...

Re: Failed to run pipline

This is so helpful. Thank you so much! Is there a quick and easy way to update my specialization to DITA 1.3 DTD? Regarding equations, in the past, I could use a product called MathFlow (might have been MathType) to create equations. I used image files because they weren't rendering probably in chm ...

Failed to run pipline

This might also fall under the frameworks/dita category. I'm using Oxygen Author 22 I'm on a new machine. When I run a transformation scenario for pdf, chm or web responsive help, I get these error messages: Transformation failed. C:\Program Files\Oxygen XML Editor 22\frameworks\dita\DITA-OT3.x\plug...

Cleaning up a project

I have no idea which category of question this falls under, but since I edit and publish dita content I thought I'd start here. I do not know if this is an Oxygen Editor, Author, or Developer question. I frankly get all three products confused. For years, I just managed everything in Editor. Everyth...
