Re: Has anyone used Git submodules with the Git plugin?
A useful feature to add would be the ability to update all submodules with a single click of a button. Currently, updating submodules is a bit cumbersome, especially if a repository contains several submodules. It is also a bit confusing since it is not a straightforward process to change the workin...

Re: Has anyone used Git submodules with the Git plugin?
Hi Alex,
Thank you for the additional information. I will disable the Update Submodules feature for now. Thank you again for all the work you are putting in to support submodules!
Best regards,
Jonathan

Re: Has anyone used Git submodules with the Git plugin?
First of all, the option Update all submodules after pulling changes must be set. The scenario is as follows. Lets assume we have a main repository with a second submodule: 1. User1 open main in the Git Staginf view. It uses the Submodules action on the toolbar and goes into the second submodule 2....

Re: Has anyone used Git submodules with the Git plugin?
Hi Sorin, Thank you for the update and for continuing to add improvements for working with submodules! I am particularly intrigued by the following improvement that was added: When pulling the remote changes for a repository that contains submodules, the submodules are updated as well (by default). ...

Re: Version 23.0: Projects slow to open
Hi Radu, I am running Windows 10. Originally I installed the installation kit with Java OpenJDK 15 (which was the default). I uninstalled this version and installed the kit with Jave SE 1.8 (which I see is now the default :) ). This version works much better! The projects now open quickly again as t...

Version 23.0: Projects slow to open
Hello, I updated to version 23.0 and have noticed performance issues when opening projects. In previous versions, projects would open almost instantaneously (I still have version 22.1 installed to verify that they still open quickly). It takes about 15-20 seconds to open a project in version 23.0. I...

Show image preview in DITA Reusable Components
Hello, We have a large number of image resources that we reference using a conkeyref. The reason we use a conkeyref instead of a keyref is so that referenced images can also have alt text associated with the image. It would be really helpful if a preview of the image could be visible in the Componen...

Min-height causes page break
Hello, I am trying to apply a minimum height to a topic element, using the following css: @page { padding-top:0em; padding-bottom:0em; size: us-letter; margin: 1in; } .topic { border: 1px solid red; margin: 0; min-height: 2in; } Here is the result (showing pages 1 and 2): min-height.png As you can s...

Apply the same footnote multiple times
Hello, When applying the same footnote to more than one element, the footnote text gets duplicated and the footnote reference number is different. Here is an example produced using PDF Chemistry: DITA <ol> <li>Item 1<xref href="#topic_qzf_r1h_3nb/first-footnote" type="fn"/><fn id...

Working with Git Submodules and Master Files
Hello, I've noticed that for a project which contains a Git submodule and a Master File that links will not update if a file in the submodule is moved or renamed after a pull update. I'm guessing this is the expected behavior since the files were updated automatically outside of the Project View in ...

Re: Has anyone used Git submodules with the Git plugin?
Hi Sorin,
Since the submodule feature already works, I would agree that adding support for subtrees would take priority over submodule improvements.
Regards,
Jonathan

Re: Has anyone used Git submodules with the Git plugin?
Please add my vote for implementing changes that would make working with submodules easier. :D On a related note, has any consideration been given to creating a tool for working with subtrees? From what I have seen, subtrees are easier to work with than submodules for pulling updates. Regards, Jonat...

Re: Translator Helper: Additional languages
Hi Radu, Thank you for your reply. I had a colleague who was looking to translate some content into Ukrainian and I noticed that it was missing from the list. We were able to use MS Word's translation feature to get what he needed, so there's no rush on adding additional languages. I was just curiou...

Master Files: Present a dialog box when "Remove from Disk" is selected
Hello, It would be useful to have a dialog box appear when selecting "Remove from Disk" in a project with a Master File, similar to how a dialog box appears when a file is renamed or moved. This feature would be particularly helpful when trying to remove files that have dependencies since ...

Sorry for the late reply. I did not have notifications turned on. Alex, thank you for looking into this. I look forward to seeing a fix! jhanna, thanks for finding and reporting this. Diff tool error when reusing content from a Git submodule
I am running into an error when reusing content from a Git submodule. When I use the Oxygen Diff tool to view changes, I get an error in the Author view: diff-tool.png The same error also appears in the editor in the Author view: author-view.png I do not see any errors when using the Text view and i...
