Re: XSL-FO or HTML/CSS

Hello, This is not a newbie question, in fact it's a quite relevant one. The fastest answer I can give is: it depends, you can use either one or another method to generate PDFs without any problem. Now come the detailed answer, why choose one instead of another? If you do not know both XSLT or CSS, ...

Re: CSS for image-before-bullet

Hello, Unfortunately Oxygen 21.1 has reached its out of maintenance period which means that no new build will be deployed on this version. You could perhaps upgrade to version 23.1 (current version) in order to continue using Oxygen in the best conditions. In this version you can use the ::marker on...

Re: CSS for image-before-bullet

Hello, For your case I think the best solution is to use the ::marker pseudo-element: li[id]::marker { content: url('images/book-brown.png'); } But as you suggest you will need to use custom images having both bullet and book. You can also try the list-style-image but I'm not sure it will do the tri...

Re: For PDF output remove the indent from the <p>

Hello,

Normally the paragraphs are not indented by default in the DITA Map PDF - based on HTML5 & CSS transformation.
You can try to debug your CSS to see what rules are applied on paragraphs.
You can also send back an image to see what do you mean by "indent".

Re: Horizontal tables keep several pages after in landscape mode

Hello Veronica, You can add the following rule in your CSS customization: *[class ~= "topic/table"][orient="land"] { page-break-after: always; } To make sure that your tables are isolated on the landscape page. If this does not work, could you send me back a small randomized sample at support@oxygen...

Re: DITA to PDF output - Alternate Header

Hello, For this you also need to use the page margin boxes, like this: @page { @top-left { background-color: red; } } If the color does not appear, it means that the content of the page margin box is empty, you can correct that by adding content: ""; In the CSS rule (for the corners for example). Hello Romane, You were really close of the solution, here is the correct CSS: @page front-page { background-image: url(oxy_xpath("//*[contains(@class, 'bookmap/bookmeta')]//*[contains(@class, ' topic/data')][@name='background'][1]/@value")); } The 'topic/data' element is a descendant of the 'bookmap...

Hi Jeff, You can try to use Oxygen Styles Basket in order to do that: in the PDF > Table of Contents > Numbering gallery you will find an aspect called "No Numbering" which removes the Chapter prefix in front of H1. After selecting the aspect you just need to download either CSS or ZIP file and use ...
