Re: Spell check - Romanian diacritics (ș and ț)

Dear Radu, thank you for your swift and helpful answer. The issue is resolved. The encoding of the dictionary file was at fault, which was revealed when I opened it in oXygen (Windows-1252 instead of UTF-8). I could have figured it out on my own, and saved us all some time, much like I could have re...

Spell check - Romanian diacritics (ș and ț)

I've imported dictionaries containing Romanian words, but when they contain Romanian-specific characters with commas ș and ț, the spelling checker incorrectly suggests replacing them with Turkish characters with cedillas (ş and ţ). Here's an example of each case: The word 'Afi ș area' (meaning "...

Dear Chris and Dan, thank you both for your detailed answers.
Lots to chew on, and definitely more flexibility than I expected.

Re: Pointing to a different SVG cover based on bookmap info

Thank you Dan, this works perfectly like this.

To go a bit further: do you see any way of passing the xpath to the svg file name?
It would remove the need to add as many "if" statements as there are covers, and to update the CSS every time a new product/cover is added.

Many thanks.

Pointing to a different SVG cover based on bookmap info

Hi there, I've been using PDF Chemistry using 1 CSS for each bookmap, which worked fine up to a point, but now I'd like to move to a single CSS. The only problem so far has been the cover page. The text displayed on the cover itself is lifted from the bookmap, so no problem there. But the background...

Re: XSL-FO to PDF fails due to font error

Hi Radu, here is what the oXygen console view tells me about the issue : transform.fo2pdf.fop: [fop] [ERROR] Anttask - Error rendering fo file: C:\test\temp\pdf\topic.fo <org.apache.fop.apps.FOPException: Failed to read font file file:/C:/Windows/FONTS/Roboto-Light_0.ttf [fop] java.lang.RuntimeExcep...

Search and replace using regex and xpath

Hi there, I need to add a bold tag (b) to callout numbers that have the form (1), (2), (n). The regex would be something like: \(\d+\) The tag has already been applied without consistency, so I'm trying to finish the job so to speak. But I don't want to apply the tag if it's already there. Since Oxy...

Dan, thank you for this. It's exactly what I needed, and the bit about debugging is really helping.

Have a very pleasant day.

Re: Vertical text on cover

Thank you Dan, this works just fine. Here's the small adjustment I made for my own case (I'll remove the yellow background at the end): @page front-page{ @bottom-right-corner { content: string(author); transform: rotate(-90deg); background-color:yellow; } } Now, I've tried including metadata from a ...

Vertical text on cover

Hi, I've spent a few hours putting together a bare bones DITA -> PDF template using Chemistry, and I'm impressed with how intuitive things have been so far. However I'm stuck on a specific thing. We're putting some metadata on the cover. Let's say, for example, "AA123456 revision 1". The d...
