A css mess part 1

Hi! Almost a private forum for me. :) I guess there will be others later on . This seems like a kind of pioneering work anyway. My previous task included modifying the original css files since adding a project css simply wasn't enough in some cases. I tried to be careful and change everything the wa...

Re: One more and maybe impossible now: Back page

Great! SInce I couldn't adjust the svg, I cropped al the white space out and modified the code a bit: :root:after{ page:lp; display:block; content: " "; margin-top:50%; text-align:right; } @page lp{ background-image:url("Takakansi.svg"); background-position:80% 80%; background-re...

Re: One more and maybe impossible now: Back page

Good. Thanks.

The only thing is that it should be right-aligned. I tried moving it around, but the it shrank. Background-position: 50% 50% puts it at the centr, but background-size is not accepted for some reason.

Happy holidays,

One more and maybe impossible now: Back page

Hi and thank you again for helping me out, The template that I am working on also needs a back page. Everything right-aligned and at the lower half of the page. The same logo as before and a lot of paragraphs and line breaks. See the attachment that I sent you. Seems like @page:last is not even impl...

Re: Front page setup

Bit by bit: What if the title after the logo is also on two lines (Title + subtitle) with different font size and weight? Can I use 'before' twice? Like this: COMPANY LOGO Product name Installation Instructions The background image is in the same folder as the logo so it should be working. If I chan...

Re: Front page setup

Hi again, I think the problem was caused by one of the modified css files. PDF output is working again. Would be really nice if you could still walk me 'til the finishing line. :) Current output: The company logo comes out well. The title is on the left side of the logo when it should be under it. I...

Re: Front page setup

Hi again and sorry about the shattered output on my behalf. I assumed that the background-size malfunction was caused by too old software version, updated from 19 to 19.1 and now if I try to publish WYSIWYG PDF, it is successful but nothing comes out.

Re: Front page setup

And now if I use the customized css, the transformation is successful, but there is no PDF output.

Best Regards,

Re: Front page setup

Yes Radu I noticed that example and tried it.

But for background-size the validation says: Property background-size does not exist. So the background image is not visible.

Cheers,

Front page setup

Hi all! Really seems that my knowledge of CSS is far from adequate for Chemistry. I need to create a front page with the company logo on top left (too big for top left margin box), left aligned product name under that, left-aligned words "Installation instructions" under that, a reasonably...

Re: Line break in footnotes

I guess the same goes for front-page-title? Needs to be on two lines with different font sizes.

Alternate CSS coverage?

Hi all and kudos to Radu for helping me with my Chemistry problems. The template is working fine now and adjusting the font size provided a temporary solution for margin box layout problems i.e. the fact that line break is not available yet in the official release. But I do have a kind of a problem:...

Re: Title numbering in Chemistry?

Hi again,

I have to go to a css course. I simply can't figure out how to add the same numbering to p-toc.css.

Help?

Re: Title numbering in Chemistry?

Hi again!

At first I made a stupid mistake copying only part of your example. Now it is working fine. I guess I can use the same stuff to add the numbers to TOC.

I would really appreciate it if you could also take a look at my other problem with the line breaks.

Thanks a lot,

Re: Title numbering in Chemistry?

Hi Radu and thank you for your quick response. Although not recommended I have been editing the Chemistry css-files directly. In p-page-titles-and-numbers.css I removed the text "Chapter" and some of the headers or footers to make room for new ones. However, the section you offered is ther...

Line break in footnotes

Hi all,

In a nutshell: How do I add a line break between the strings in the following:

@bottom-center {
content: string(maptitle) string(parttitle) string(chaptertitle);

}}

Thanks,

Title numbering in Chemistry?

Hi! I started using Chemistry supposing that css makes PDF publishing easier than before. I guess it does but hunting down details of how to do things now seems difficult because Chemistry is so new and in Beta. So: I found out how it is done the old way, but how do I add title numbering (1.0, 1.1.,...
