Re: Reltable conditioning
Hi Radu: Oh, it sounds like I'll have to copy the map and just delete those parts then. :( I need to change the output based on the output type. Adding relatable entries for topics side-by-side in the map makes sense, but adding them for the same topics in PDF output is too much. Good to know it isn...

Reltable conditioning
Hi There: Is it possible to condition out reltable topics? I've set up prop values to include "webhelp" (to omit the reltable .ditamap for pdf output), but the reltable links are still showing up in the PDF output. I'm trying to figure out if its supported (conditioning out reltables), or ...

How do you handle images?
Hi All: I'm looking for suggestions and hopefully examples of how you work with images when you plan on showing two images together (desktop and mobile). Output is PDF (using CSS) and webhelp. Will it make it easier if I nest things in <fig>? (Can I nest two images in a <fig>?) Will it be cleaner if...

Hi There: When I use oXygen v24, I don't get an error, but if I use v25.1, I get the following. image.png I want to try to update the "ditaval file", but I don't know where to look for it. If I click on the message, it just takes me to an expanded version of the .ditamap file. Suggestions,...

PDF prints only part of a landscape table
Hi There: I have tables earmarked to "print" in landscape. It does, but it's only printing one page of the table (it should span multiple pages). Do I need to add another command for this? (PDF output) It has also put the title and description on a non-landscape page (I assume because the ...

BitBucket Suggestions, please!
Hello: I'm wondering if I can get some feedback/suggestions. We're currently working through the benefits and drawbacks of moving our repository from SVN to BitBucket. Currently, we have a huge number of files (my working copy says 14.2 GB; 352, 175 files; 10, 382 folders); and we "branch"...

Re: HTML5 Output Query
Hi Costin: I'm using XML Editor 24.1, build 2022041507 and it looks like it's based on WebHelp Responsive. I think the person who created it originally leveraged/adapted the Aquamarine templates (about 5 or 6 years ago) to our purposes, and they were more recently applying an overriding CSS on our w...

Re: [CH] Content overflows the viewport of an fo:block-container
I just had this happen. I was looking at a series of images and one was out of alignment with the other on output, so I switched it from placement="break" to "inline". This caused the error to occur referencing some of the other phrases in the paragraph (which helped me figure ou...

HTML5 Output Query
Hi There: It looks like things have changed in the oXygen HTML5 output so that our CSS isn't rendering the menu arrows correctly. I'm wondering if someone can point me in the right direction as to what might need to be updated in template/CSS files so that these will render correctly. (This is a sid...

Re: Cannot read field "result" because "fi" is null
It was happening both from 23.1 and 24.1.
I'm not sure how feasible pulling together a short selection is and still have the error appearing, but I'll see what I can do.

Re: Cannot read field "result" because "fi" is null
We had the same error message come up. The .ditamap file had a bunch of other .ditamaps in it. I think the issue was with these errors: erroroxygen.jpg When I deleted the submaps I believe these images would have been pulled from, the Transformation ran okay. We haven't sorted out how to fix the ori...

Prevent Table Headers from Repeating?
Hi There: How do I prevent table headers from repeating? (Transformation scenario is CSS for PDF) Currently, I'm trying to output to PDF, then export (Adobe Acrobat DC) to Word, and then upload to Confluence. The tables that are larger than a page have the header rows repeated , which turns them int...

Re: How to troubleshoot "Unresolved ID reference" error?
I am having the same issue with PDF output using 24.1. Was the oXygen 23 fix reverted? Or could something else be causing the message(s) to appear?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: DITA webhelp output - how to change hovertext for <term> element?
Hi Radu: I'm wondering if the file path has changed for this. I don't see it in my current install (24.1) and I'm using HTML5 output. Basically, I'd like the hovertext/tooltip seen in webhelp output to be a truncated version of the glossary definition you find if you click on the term. Right now, th...

We've also had issues with WebHelp output in oXygen 24. It's to the point where we're just outputting from oXygen 23 and hoping oXygen 25 will fix the issues. Profiling/Conditioning and glossaries
Hi there: We have two output types: PDF and WebHelp. After much wrestling I've gotten output so that I'm happy with it (not nearly as easy to create a glossary as it is to create an index). Anyway, for the two output types I'd like to handle the terms differently. For webhelp output, I want to mark ...

Hi Radu: Thank you for the information! Unfortunately, we are still having transformation issues with 24. The current issue is just weird. Settings not picked up between oXygen versions
Hihi: I assume this is how it's supposed to work, but I'm really curious as to why. I currently have 23.1 and 24 installed on my machine. We had transformation issues for a bit (we seem to have worked through them), so it made sense to have both versions on the system. I flip back and forth randomly...

Re: xml to PDF transformation process interrupted due to footnotes
Hi: Has there been any movement on this issue? I've got something a bit weird where I can output my PDF (23.1 and 24) okay unless I try to show comments when I do it (set parameters - show.changes.and.comments to yes). Then I get error messages -- Transformation failed. C:\Program Files\Oxygen XML E...

Hi There:
I was looking at your website and noticed the tooltip shown when hovering over topics in the list does not seem to match the shortdesc for the topic. What element is used here and how do you define it to use it/show it in webhelp output?
Thanks!

Schematron and Whitespaces
Hi: I've started working with schematron, and one of the things I've noticed is that it doesn't ignore whitespace when looking for text or whatnot, so it doesn't necessarily pull in all of the error results/matching scenarios. Is there a way to indicated that it should ignore that? Or a quick way to...

I've tried creating a Glossary map and a glossgroup topic. We typically create PDF output (we do both PDF and WebHelp, but this is an issue in PDF, not WebHelp [well, it happens there too, but it doesn't matter]). Each <glossentry> is being treated as its own topic and being placed on its own page. ...
