Is it possible to flag references to files outside of a project
I encountered an issue when I ran the transformation on our project map. In the compiled output, I was able to access the help system home page (index.html). However, none of the other help topics were output when I ran the transformation. After reviewing the build log, I determined the cause of the...

Re: Dynamically change a chunk of content within a conref?
Using a unique @keyscope attribute value for each <topicref> element resolved the issue. I expanded by test by defining a second keyword (in a second <keydef> element within each key scope. That enabled be to substitute a second keyword in a different conkeyref within each topic. Thank you for your ...

Re: Dynamically change a chunk of content within a conref?
I tried using the key scope you suggested. Instead of each topic displaying the keyword defined in its corresponding <topicref> element, all of the topics display the key word that was defined in the first <topicref> element. Here is the example you provided for the map. I expanded this example by a...

Dynamically change a chunk of content within a conref?
I created a series of DITA task topics that explain how to create different configuration items in our portal. There are some steps that are the same for all types of configurations. I documented these reusable steps in a collection file and inserted them into the task topics using a conref. There i...

Re: Is there an Oxygen setting that automatically removes empty attributes from DITA topics?
@chrispitude Thank you for the example you included in your reply. I was trying (unsuccessfully) to run the Delete Attribute refactoring operation to remove the same attribute from several different elements. I was going to post a question on the forum, but I fortunately read this post first. From t...

Re: Search Attribute Not Working
Any idea when this issue will be resolved? We occasionally have scenarios where we need to prevent a DITA topic from displaying in the table of contents and search results. Setting a <topicref> element's @toc attribute = yes works great for preventing the topic from displaying in the table of conten...

Re: Is there an Oxygen setting that automatically removes empty attributes from DITA topics?
I think I figured this out Radu. If an attribute shows as Empty or containing a space (see highlighted area in attached image). oxygen_empty_attribute.png Oxygen automatically removes the attributes when the writer sets an attribute value in the Edit Profile Settings Window. Oxygen does not automati...

Re: Is there an Oxygen setting that automatically removes empty attributes from DITA topics?
The prompt asking the writer to select an audience is achieved by the following Oxygen editor variable in the topic's root element: <concept id="${cfn}" av-audience="${ask('Choose the topic audience:', radio, (' ':'External - Include topic in release blog, communication, and presentat...

Re: Is there an Oxygen setting that automatically removes empty attributes from DITA topics?
Hello Radu. Let me see if I can explain this better. I have attached a flowchart of the process, and the numbers on the flowchart correspond to the numbered items below. oxygen_topic_flow.png When we create a topic using the template, a prompt displays asking the writer to select an audience: Extern...

Add parameter to PDF transformation scenarios to generate a final version of a topic with track changes accepted
We often send our customers PDF versions of our topics for review. Although we use Oxygen's Track Changes feature, we do not want the PDFs to display the tracked changes. We only want customers to see the final version of a topic after changes have been accepted. From what I can determine, Oxygen on...

Is there an Oxygen setting that automatically removes empty attributes from DITA topics?
Background We create release notes for internal and external audiences, and we use a template to create our release notes topics. The template has a prompt that asks the writer if the topic is only for internal audiences. If the writer selects Yes , the topic's audience attribute is set to internal...

Is a map that is not in a project's root map included in refactoring operations when Master Files are enabled
Hello, I have a DITA map with some topics added to it, but I have not added the map to my root map. If I enable Master Files and add my root map to my project's Master Files folder, will the other map and its topics be analyzed during any search and refactor operations, or would I have to add the ot...

Tagging "production" vs. "non-production" content in DITA topics
I am currently migrating WebHelp topics authored in RoboHelp to DITA topics authored in Oxygen. I need a way to control the environment (Production vs. QA or Test) to which topics or content chunks within a topic should be published. Example: I have a topic or a content chunk that I only want to dis...

Support SSL/HTTPS connections
I'm using the Oxygen XML Editor 18.0 to create/edit DITA topics that are hosted on easyDITA. Oxygen is configured to connect to easyDITA using the WebDAV FTP data source. A recent security scan by our company security team revealed that Oxygen is sending clear text passwords to easyDITA. I have read...

Re: Filling multiple ${ask editor variables with one question prompt
Are there any alternative methods for inserting the same value in multiple places in a topic (other than doing a search and replace)? I have to create conkeyref files for multiple payers (health care plans)--one file per payer. I would like to have a template that uses a placeholder called payer_nam...

Re: Insert an author name in a DITA topic
Thank you for the information Radu. I discovered the Editor Variables topic you referenced a few weeks ago. Thanks to what I learned from reading that topic, I'm using the ${uuid} and ${cfn} variables in my templates to automatically populate some data in topics when they are created.

Insert an author name in a DITA topic
Hello, I am using the oXygen XML Editor to create DITA topics. I am relatively new to both oXygen and DITA (only a few months of experience at both). Is there a way to have oXygen automatically insert my name inside of the <author> element in a DITA topic when I create the topic? The DITA templates ...
