Link to the index in PDF output

Hello, our customers frequently use the pdf manual as a lookup reference. We have added an index to the end of the document, so users can easilly find and navigate to the topics. We would like to add a link in the footer of each page that links back to the index. This way users do not have to scroll...

Re: Background images for tiles in webhelp responsive

Hi Costin, fair enough but that would give us the same image for all tiles. We would like an image per tile.

Background images for tiles in webhelp responsive

Hi,
we've managed to add images to the webhelp tiles, but would prefer to have the image as a background of the tile itself. Is there a quick way to achieve this?

Webhelp creates wrong index links

When I create webhelp using the standard oxygen webhelp function the hyperlinks created are wrong. How do I set the path to be used for the links? My ditamap is stored in a different folder (en-US) from the topics in the subfolder topics. The links created for the indexterms are rendered as: ../inde...

Partial two column pdf output

Hi, I want a part of the document to appear in a two-column style. I've found the attribute <xsl:attribute name="column-count">2</xsl:attribute> for that. This turns the whole document in a two column pdf output. So I've created an @outputclass for that in the layout-masters-attr . This do...

Remove my index

Hi, For special publications I want to remove my index from the pdf output altogether without deleting all the <indexderm> references. I have created a new customization setup for that. In the layoutmaster.xsl i have commented out all index references: <!--INDEX simple masters--><!-- <fo:simple-page...

Re: Index Sorting for Japanese

Hi, we are using the oXygen editor 17.1 and are running some tests on Japanese index sorting for PDF output. Am i correct in assuming the index terms need to be in Katakana or Hiragana? It seems like terms in Kanji characters are ommitted completely. If so could we add the indexterm like this: <inde...

Re: Sorting a glossary alphabetically

Hi, thank you, I can sort-out the output to pdf later. When i do set the preferences to DITA OT 2x my transformation comes back with a lot of errors. I've done a lot of customization, including my own commons.xsl. Still after setting the preferences I receive an error Description Cannot compare xs:i...

Re: Sorting a glossary alphabetically

Hi in the proposed solution by Eliot Kimber he says: Note also that for DITA 1.3 we will be adding the general <sort-as> element to the utilities domain, which specializes from <data> and can therefore go pretty much anywhere. The <sort-as> element contains (or specifies in @value) text to be prepen...

Hi Radu You're exactly right. I've tried the manual addition of the font and apparently did the right thing because i received the following message [fop] [ERROR] Anttask - Error rendering fo file: Z:\en-US\temp\topic-pdf\oxygen_dita_temp\topic.fo <org.apache.fop.apps.FOPException: OpenType fonts wi...

Re: Cannot register otf font

As a test i downloaded the From Cartoon Blocks truetype font from http://www.1001freefonts.com/3d-fonts.php

The result was a successful rendering of my pdf with this font. When I try any otf font it does not. I'm using oXygen 17.1

Hi Radu, I did that already, so that is not the problem. I have tried to register another otf font as well, this didn't work either. When I use a true type font like calibri also available the procedures work fine. I cannot successfully register any opentype font. I'm on a windows 10 machine, instal...

Hi I have downloaded and installed the Omnes otf font we use in our company. The font is available in the windows\fonts directory and works fine. It needs to be registered in the build-in fo processor. I have followed the instructions https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/17.1/ug-editor/#tasks/add-...

Table Keep with next across N rows

Hi I would like to create a table definition where tables that are less than 10 rows are not allowed to break across pages and longer tables are allowed to break, is that even possible? Does anybody have a solution?

Hello, The following procedure explains how to customize the PDF output by setting up a customization directory. Copy the entire directory: DITA_OT_DIR\plugins\org.dita.pdf2\Customization to another location (for instance, C:\Customization ). Rename C:\Customization\catalog.xml.orig to: C:\Customiz...
