Re: WebHelp Responsive: Issue with unwanted topics being searchable in the output

We've found the reason for our issues or at least we were able to pin it to a certain event. We've updated the DITA OT to 2.4.4 a few months ago. During that process we must have introduced errors. Even though all builds until then never had any errors in the log, some functionality was broken. One ...

Re: WebHelp Responsive: Issue with unwanted topics being searchable in the output

Thank you for for the suggestions Costin. But I don't think that this is the solution to my problem. Before this project I never had to exclude certain topics from the search because they were excluded by default. And for all other projects of ours this is still the case. We have shared topics that ...

WebHelp Responsive: Issue with unwanted topics being searchable in the output

Hi, we've come across an issue with the WebHelp Responsive output. Situation: We use several shared topics that contain contents such as parameter lists that are used in several other topics. Those shared topics are not referenced in the ditamap but only serve as source for other topics. Normally, t...

Re: GUI bug when inserting draft-comments

Thanks for reminding me of this. I had a quick check with Oxygen 20 (latest maintenance version 2018042410) and it still does not seem to work correctly. Maybe I am missing something here.

Maybe anybody else can check this.

Re: Keywords not visible in output (PDF/WebHelp) when using sub-ditamaps

Thank you for clarifying this. Can you imagine changing this behavior in a future Oxygen version? The workaround of course would be to reference the keyword ditamaps in each sub-ditamap. But having only to maintain the keyword ditamap reference in the main ditamap of each project is a bit more conve...

Re: Keywords not visible in output (PDF/WebHelp) when using sub-ditamaps

Thanks for your answer Costin. The validation check of the sub-ditamap reports that the key definitions cannot be found. This is as expected, since there are no keyword ditamaps referenced in the sub-ditamap. But I would have hoped that the "Root map" setting would also be taken into accou...

Keywords not visible in output (PDF/WebHelp) when using sub-ditamaps

Hello, I'm not sure whether this is a bug or if my expectations of the "Root map" option in the DITA Maps Manager are wrong. Situation We have a main ditamap that references many sub-ditamaps. Only the main ditamap references the keyword ditamap. If I create an output (PDF or WebHelp) from...

Re: Searching in Oxygen - "Ignore extra white spaces" not working properly

Searching in Oxygen - "Ignore extra white spaces" not working properly

Hi, our XML topics can sometimes contain line breaks or white spaces that somehow influence the Oxygen search function. For example I want to search a certain keyword. In the Oxygen Text view, the keyword can look like this: <keyword keyref="product_name" /> In the search window, I type <k...

DITA Reusable Components - Change double-click behavior

Hi, we are about to switch to keywords instead of variables. Now when I want to insert a new <keyword> into my text, I thought that double-clicking the keyword I want in the "DITA Reusable Components" window would insert a <keyword> element. However, it inserts a <ph> element with a "...

Re: GUI bug when inserting draft-comments

I insert the draft-comment via ENTER and then selecting it in the list. For example: <ul> <li>Test 1</li> <li>Test 2</li> </ul> I place the cursor after the <ul> tag. Then click ENTER and select draft-comment via double-click or ENTER. Result: The draft-comment is moved inside the first <li></li>. I...

GUI bug when inserting draft-comments

Hi, depending on where you insert a draft-comment element, the element is displayed differently. If I insert it at a valid position, it is displayed as intended (green + author name). If I insert at it at a non-valid position, Oxygen automatically moves the draft-comment element to the closest valid...

Re: WebHelp Responsive search: How do "Stop Words" work?

Thanks for your answer. We know how to localize the WebHelp output, I mean something different here. The search considers some words as so called "stop words". This means, they are not considered when searching for terms. There are two strings that mention stop words: No results were found...

Re: XML to XML transformation with Feature Differentiation (ditaval)

Radu is right. We'd like to have the same topics but only with the content of a certain feature differentiation. DITA to DITA so to say. Or XML to XML. The XHTML output, for example, resolves all variables and related links. This is not what we want. We want to stick remain an XML source to give to ...

Right, such an option would be nice.

Your other suggestion is also interesting. We have to think about using key-based references at one point eventually.
