Re: Responsive top nav not working on Windows computers

That sounds fair. I will let you know if we have any other reports of issues or figure out why it isn't working for these particular customer support members.

Thanks,
Misti

Re: Responsive top nav not working on Windows computers

Sorry, I misspoke when I said Safari. The laptops are running Windows 10 and it is the most recent versions of the browsers.

Re: Responsive top nav not working on Windows computers

I am talking about the publicly available Oxygen webhelp. We have two separate Windows 10 users (on different Lenovo laptops) who are having this happen in all browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, IE). They can mouse over the top nav (in our documentation and in your documentation) and have the option...

Responsive top nav not working on Windows computers

Hello- We upgraded to Oxygen 20 and the webhelp responsive output is putting out help systems where the top nav doesn't seem to be "clickable" on Windows machines. It works perfectly on Mac, but people in our support org with Windows laptops are able to mouse over the top nav but nothing h...

Re: 19.1 Responsive Top Nav Not Obeying Top Menu Depth Setting

Hi Alin- Yes, we're aware of how to do that, but it's quite a bit of work to append filtering data to hundreds of topics vs just setting a processing parameter. Our best option at this point is to roll back to Oxygen 19 and stay there until there's an option to update to a version that doesn't "...

Re: 19.1 Responsive Top Nav Not Obeying Top Menu Depth Setting

A top nav that goes out several levels is a terrible user experience because it's so difficult to use. When tech comm redesigned our help system the UX team was completely against having a top nav at all; setting the top nav depth to 3 was a compromise we made in order to even have it. In addition t...

19.1 Responsive Top Nav Not Obeying Top Menu Depth Setting

Hello-

We recently updated to 19.1. The webhelp responsive is no longer limiting the top nav depth. We have it set to 3 by default but the top nav was displaying up to 5 levels deep. I set it to 2 to test and it was still showing up to 5 levels. Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks,
Misti

Expand/collapse icon in wh_side_toc

Hello- We'd like to implement an expand/collapse icon in the topic page side TOC in Webhelp Responsive help, similar to how hasSubMenuClosed/hasSubMenuOpened works in the normal Webhelp TOC. Any suggestions on how to implement this? I was looking at the toc.js file contents, but it seems like there ...

Expand/Collapse not working as expected in webhelp responsive tasks

There is an expand collapse icon being added in webhelp responsive task files. It looks like it is being added with a couple of H2s (About this Task and Procedure). However, the div is being closed immediately after the H2 so the content to be expanded/collapsed is sitting outside of the div, so it ...

Using DITA's HTML output in platform tooltips

Is it possible to use sections of help content to populate tooltip text in the platform? I've tried tagging paragraphs (etc) with an XML ID, but this only seems to allow us to set up a context sensitive link to that location in the topic. We'd like to pull the actual text into the platform tooltip. ...

Re: Version of Oxygen for automated builds

At past jobs we've been able to buy a floating license for Jenkins to use XML Editor to automate builds. Has that changed?

Version of Oxygen for automated builds

Our Sys Eng team wants to set up automated webhelp builds with Bamboo. I'm currently producing our webhelp using a customized version of the DITA-OT webhelp plugin in Oxygen Editor. Do we need to purchase an Editor copy for Bamboo in order to duplicate my customized output or will an Author or Devel...
