Re: Related links to non-DITA resources in PDF output

Hi,

I reproduced the problem with that specific parameter enabled. I also consider it to be a bug, the parameter should not behave like this.
I added an issue for it in the DITA OT issues list:

https://github.com/dita-ot/dita-ot/issues/3309

Re: Related links to non-DITA resources in PDF output

Hi, This looks like a publishing bug but I cannot reproduce it with Oxygen 21 and its bundled DITA OT 3.x engine. I'm trying on my side to publish a small DITA Map having a reference to a topic which looks something like: <!DOCTYPE topic PUBLIC "-//OASIS//DTD DITA Topic//EN" "topic.dtd"> <topic id="...

Hi Timo,

Where exactly does that message appear?
Can you maybe attach a screenshot with mode details to an email (support@oxygenxml.com)?

Re: ERROR: contains characters which are not properly URI-encoded

Hi, About this remark: However, in some cases (when the template is in installation directory), the path that is created from the ${makerelative} function ends being an absolute path. And what are those cases? Probably when you create an untitled.ditamap which is not yet saved anywhere, right? We st...

Re: Add a document type for a custom RNG schema with a custom URN

About Chris' remark: This is interesting; I didn't know you could provide a DITA schema using a custom framework. Does that relieve users from having to put it in the plugins/ folder of the DITA-OT installation inside the Oxygen XML directory? An extension of the DITA framework can provide its own X...

What's the precise error message that you obtain? Are you using the customization with the Oxygen standalone version, the Oxygen Eclipse plugin our our WebAuthor online editor?

Re: Add a document type for a custom RNG schema with a custom URN

Hi, About this remark: No luck with setting the priority on the custom extension framework to "high"; no document type, and no CSS association This means that the association rules set on your custom framework (which by now should be the first one in the list) do not match at all the XML files you a...

Re: Inserting equations within lists

Hi,

You seem to use a custom XML vocabulary so you probably need to modify the schema (DTD, XML or Relax NG Schema) so that the mathml content is allowed in the elements where you want to insert it.

Re: Prevent insertion of multiple spaces between words in normal text

Hi Chris, Thanks for the feedback. Indeed if we implement this improvement of preventing extra white spaces between words we will probably do that only for elements which are not space-preserve, so you will probably not need an extra way to specify the excepted elements because Oxygen already knows ...

Re: Add a document type for a custom RNG schema with a custom URN

Hi Graydon, We do not have a framework-specific association rule to state that it matches an xml document only if its xml-model processing instruction references a certain schema. I will add an internal issue to consider adding something like this. Two possible workarounds: 1) If end users will only...

Re: Variables for document template

Hi, Inside the DITA Map template's XML content you can use Oxygen editor variables which will be automatically expanded when the end user creates a new file based on the template. For example you could use something like: https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/21.0/ug-editor/topics/editor-variables....

Re: AuthorComponentFactory initialization optimization

Hi, I reduced my test frameworks zip to about 9000 files, first unzip still takes about 85 seconds. Making some changes in our code I can reduce the unzip time to about 75 seconds on my side (so about 10% off) but that's not very much. So I will add an issue to consider giving the framework folder a...

For Mac and Linux the cache folders are listed here: https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/21.0/ug-editor/topics/author_compone...

Hi Beth, Finally got an answer from the DITA TC on this specification-related question: https://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/dita-comment/201905/msg00001.html So they recommend you to create a "General Task" instead of a basic "Task". Re: The same topic in two places with diffrerent profiling

Hello Timo, If you are using the DITA 1.3 standard this can be done in two ways: 1) Branch filtering: https://blog.oxygenxml.com/2015/09/dita-13-branch-filtering-next.html 2) Key scopes (if you use an image keyref to refer to the image): https://blog.oxygenxml.com/2015/08/dita-13-key-scopes-next-gen...

Re: Ditaval file must be in or below ditamap directory

Hi Adam, If you edit the Oxygen transformation scenario you are using for publishing in the Parameters list there is a parameter called "fix.external.refs" which you can set to "yes". But this will work only when publishing from Oxygen. Otherwise you will need to have the root DITA Map above the dit...

Hi Chris, I agree with what you said, right now our zoom actions are called "Increase/decrease editor font" and they increase or decrease the default font used for editing. So it does not influence images. Also once in the CSS you set a fixed font to some element the zoom will stop working so you en...

Hi,

Maybe you can borrow the CSS selectors we have in place for Docbook cals table elements:

OXYGEN_INSTALL_DIR/frameworks/docbook/css/cals_table.css

The CSS above refers another CSS which might also be necessary.

Re: Eclipsehelp publish with Oxygen-can not shown the content

Hi Nikky,

Possibly this is a bug in the DITA OT 1.8.5 publishing engine but as the engine is quite old there are no more updates available for it.
So maybe you should try switching to a newer DITA Open Toolkit engine (the current version is 3.3.1).
