Re: I would like to eliminate the Chapter 1 from the chapter title

Hi Radu, I looked into the templates that you suggested me, however I am afraid that my level of xsl knowledge is, because I do not do DITA documentation day by day, but now and then, at the "noobe" level, and I do not quite understand too much as what it is in this templates. Therefore I ...

Re: I would like to eliminate the Chapter 1 from the chapter title

I forgot to specify that I would like also the above to be reflected in the TOC:
- right now I have:
Chapter 1: 1 chapter title
- I would like to have:
1 chapter title

Thank you

I would like to eliminate the Chapter 1 from the chapter title

Hi, I have the following problem of formatting. The chapter first page is very nicely formatted with the "Chapter" the number and then underneath is again the number and the title of the chapter. I find it a little bit redundant to have the numbers twice on the same page, so I was wonderin...

Re: title numbering in PDF2 moving from Oxygen Author 13 to Oxygen Author 14.1

Hi Radu, By "a small ditamap" you mean a fragment of my ditamap? Or a sample of the structure I used for the ditamap? Also, when you say "PDF customization folder", which folder do you mean? I did the changes inside the DITA OT folder having all changes commented in case I need t...

Re: Line break inside <mainbooktitle> element

Hi Bogdan, I followed your instructions and I inserted in the <mainbooktitle> something like: <mainbooktitle>Title part 1<?linebreak?>part 2</mainbooktitle> When I ran the custom PDF transformation, I got the error message: Description: I/O error reported by XML parser processing file:/D:/Customizat...

Re: title numbering in PDF2 moving from Oxygen Author 13 to Oxygen Author 14.1

Hi, I found this post when I was looking for modalities to have my topics numbered, and I applied it. It is working for me, however I did not get it to work for my Glossary entries. I have my glossary declared in a glossary.ditamap, and I have it referenced in the main ditamap of the project: <chapt...

Re: How to force a page break after each first level topic

I forgot to say that now also all the entries of the Glossary are each on a new page, and this is a little bit annoying.
I have the glossary as a chapter with the reference to the glossary.ditamap

Thank you

Re: How to force a page break after each first level topic

Hi Bogdan,

I did what you suggested, and it worked nicely, however now I have an empty page after each chapter.
Is there a possibility to remove that please?

Thank you

How to force a page break after each first level topic

Hi guys, I was wondering if there is a solution to inserting a page break after each level 1 topics. I found an older reply to this issue at: https://www.oxygenxml.com/forum/topic3261.html However the file mentioned there is not to be found in DITA OT anymore. Is there any other file where I have to...

Re: Line break inside <mainbooktitle> element

I tried to use the solution offered by you in this article: https://www.oxygenxml.com/dita/styleguide/webhelp-feedback/Artefact/Language_and_Punctuation/c_Line_Breaks_in_Titles.html However the space between the lines is way too big, so I was wondering if there would be another solution. Also, right...

Line break inside <mainbooktitle> element

Hi Guys, I would have a question regarding the <mainbooktitle> element. Is it possible to have a line break inside this element? That means, if I would like to have the title on two lines, e.g. <mainbooktitle>Line 1 Line 2</mainbooktitle> what should I insert between the Line 1 & Line 2? Till no...

I will try that. The only thing was that I did not know in which file to do the modification for keep-together-within-page.
I did it for other elements and it worked very nicely.

Have a great day

Have common like Chapter and Contents words automatically translated

Hi Guys, I am working right now on a French project and I would need the DITA-OT to generate automatically instead of Chapter, Chapitre and instead of Table of Contents, Contenu or Table de matieres, i.e. whatever it is in the DITA-OT established as a correspondent for these words. I remember seeing...

Hi guys,

I would have another question for you:
How could I keep a table "whole" on a page, i.e. not to have it split over 2 pages, if its size permits of course?

Thank you

Re: Creating a glossary and referencing a term

Hi Radu,

I tried what you suggested, and now I have every entry from the glossary as a separate Chapter, and this is a little bit too much.
I would like to have it like a chapter Glossary with some entries for each term and description, nothing more. Would that be possible?

Thank you

Hi Michael, You could eventually look for the parts where you want to insert this type of functionality, e.g. <xsl:attribute-set name="fig.title" use-attribute-sets="base-font common.title"> <xsl:attribute name="font-weight">bold</xsl:attribute> <xsl:attribute name=&quo...
